Ah I found over the year that after a while the 13 feels quite small and having that extra room of the 16 comes quite handy. It’s the perfect middle ground. I also had a 27 but that did start to feel way too big after a while. Specially as it takes so much space in your desk.

Cool video. I'd love to get one too. I just wonder what potential that would have for 3D artists/animators.
@harveynewman3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Ethira...well many people use Wacoms to animate instead of a mouse as it gives you a much more direct feel...almost as if you are grabbing the controllers directly. I use it mostly to push my animations and drawing over them and also for reviews.

I just discovered Wacom and I wonder if it comes with drawing software built in. Does it work on a battery/charge? Or does it have to be connected to power to work? Btw, I'm a NAS fan too 😊
@harveynewman Жыл бұрын
Sup Jake. It’s basically plug and play, so it becomes an external monitor once you plug it into your computer with drawing capabilities. It doesn’t come with software so you’ll have to use the software of choice like photoshop for example. Nas is like half man half amazing!

Can someone tell me pros and cons between Apple graphic tablets and Wacom types? and Xppen ? I want tablet with a display, budget is around 400 - 500 - maybe ( 600 ) euros? And does it comes with integrated drawing programs ? What about Adobe programs or alternatives, which tablet can support which programs? Does graphic tablets with dispaly needs to be connected to laptop?

Hey, how do you find the tracking with the pen tip and the curser? I'm currently using xp-pen and the curser doesn't line up if you change the angle of your hand from how you calibrated it or go to the edge of the screen. I also use ipad which is perfect so I'm having a hard time deciding whether to get this or not. After using the ipad I can't draw on the xp-pen because the quality difference is so big. I saw in another comment you use ipad, how big of a difference is the drawing experience in terms of accuracy of curser/pressure etc? Do you feel like it's a downgrade drawing on the cintiq vs ipad or not a huge difference?
@harveynewman3 жыл бұрын
Hey 👋 yeah this is better than the xp-pen and more reliable as reliable as the iPad. When it comes to feel and accuracy they are pretty much the same however they are different in that iPad you never see the cursor and on the Wacom the cursor is always present. But you quickly forget about it. I do like the pen on iPad better. But I like the surface of the Wacom much better it has that nice paper feeling. Hope that helps.

Hey Harvey, thanks for this. I have a question and thinking of buying the cintiq22 or the 16 pro. I am CG animator first, so I am planning to have either option turned off and make them work as a intuos when I am animating in maya, and when I get to draw i will turn them on! My question is , the "new" cintiq 22 seems to have some old tecnology compared to the pro versions. but the 16" not sure if this too small for drawing, and the 24" it is just too big for my desk, how is this tablet for you (16) regarding animating and drawing?
@3danmensional0000 Жыл бұрын
Hey there, I am a 3D animator and I have the 16. The 16 definitely has limitations because since it has a smaller screen it kind of minimizes the display of the program you use. Definitely if you have the money the 22 is worth, but if you really need it and is in a budget the 16 is your best bet imo.
