Hey man thx for the kind words. The rod is a Waterloo rod ML. The reel in the 13 fishing concept TX gen 1. I believe the lure is the DSL tequila sunrise. Definitely be doing more wading when the summer is here.

This particular location is about 7-8 miles back from entrance of beach.

I don’t have a boat so I drive down the beach and cross over the dunes to access east bay south shoreline. With that said this particular location is approximately 5.88 miles down the beach from the 3 miles cut location. There will be 2 entrances right next to each other but they connect and lead to the same small road that will get you to the shoreline.

What is the reel you are using. Rod?

I fished a cut a little bit before this one and it didn’t fish well covered a lot of water but it was maybe 2 feet, how far out are you wading in this spot? and in the bay in general what are some tips for locating fish

I usually go out about waist deep. But that only if it’s low tide. Iv Caught reds and trout only shin to knee deep also. Usually at high tide. Look for structures. Grass/oyster beds or guts in the water. Birds working is always a good sign.

What type of bait are you using im new to this area and keep catching the catfish

I only use artificial baits! Mainly soft plastics and top water baits. DSL lures are my main soft plastics I use. I don’t believe I have ever caught a hard head on a SP but I have caught a couple gafftop and stingrays before.

@@frankieferreira6189 man I believe it’s called the tequila sunrise. It’s very similar to the red shad color but this one has a light iridescent purple belly. Has always worked well for me in dirtish water.

@@frankieferreira6189 i love to wade fish. Just been doing a lot of night fishing lately. Once summer starts ill definitely be out wading more often. I just started my page a few months back so I have never but would definitely be down to take a subscriber wade fishing.

I’m throwing down south lures the regular size! I live up in Katy and get most my gear from a small shop called Anglers Announces! Great small locally owned fishing store. They sell it all.
