This is awesome. I really like the early perspective he gives to teach wrestling to young kids.

So glad he got to mention “a point earned is a point scored” that allows every moment of every match to be exciting.

I love Wade's mind and his approach to wrestling training and technique. I have had a few disagreements with what the sport needs. He has a Manifesto on How Wrestling Wins that is posted in a blog on his website. Tons of great ideas. I even pulled all of them off and put into a Word doc and sent to Wade. 1. I do not think that rules and rules changes affect Wrestling in a positive way. Another way to say it is, you cannot legislate action into wrestling. Its starts in the Training. 2. I agree that we have too many rules which makes the sport a closed community that confuses people outside our community. Simplification is in order. 3. Wade is known as the Greatest Pinner. This is where we can focus to be more entertaining and simplify the understanding required for the fans/spectators. The least sophisticated and casual observer knows when a wrestler is getting put on his back. No explanation needed. Fans always jump up and scream when a pin occurs not a technical fall. 4. Coaches do not train wrestlers to pin to any great extent. This is where we have to start. If Wade put together a pinning clinic/academy to train Coaches how to teach pinning then we could start to move the needle. Imagine Wade, Gene Davis and Ben Askren putting their heads together and developing a Pinning Training System to train Coaches on how to teach pinning. WOW!!
