​@@TheRealCurtisWright the actor may not be the best but the actors and characters are different people and have different personalities. Like Karen Gillan and Nebula, two very different people. You can like the character but not the actor or vice versa. Actors can be, both literally and metaphorically, be the face of characters (like RDJ - Tony Stark, Ryan Reynolds - Wade Wilson and Rowan Atkinson - Mr Bean) but Rowan Atkinson isn't actually Mr Bean. I see actors and characters as two individual people.

Why did this film work? Because it was parody of itself. It knew all the silly bits of action/superhero movies and just had fun with them. Once you got past that, it was actually a very entertaining action flick with cool superheroes. Ryan Reynolds deadpan humor and straight man delivery added to the films charm. In a market so flooded with overly dramatic dross that sounds like it was written by a prepubescent girl with relationship issues, this movie actually felt enjoyable to just watch.
