Nice little detail is that he didn't react with "you're insane" or "wtf" when Mr Creep said "superhero". This movie *basically* used X-Men Origins: Wolverine as it's predecessor (minus "THE Deadpool"), so Wade had been in the Special Forces alongside mutants in the past - he already knew they existed.

I like your thinking out the box but a few things don't add up. I don't see how he would have worked with mutants in this timeline if he hadn't been one himself which he isn't at this point. I think his special forces background would have been like any other. Probably Navy Seals, Delta etc. His knowledge of mutants isn't that surprising. In this universe, their existence is clear as day.

When Boothe gave wade that drink that little scene really touched me . You see I have cancer and not one person did that for me although everyone has been kind to me and Im greatfull . My boy one day got into a fight he won but got his eye poked and he had a headache it was a brutal fight the other guy started . I took my son to the doctor ,wife demanded it and I tend to stress alot but he was okay none the less. I spoke to my grandpa about it ,he helped calm me down and told me to bring everyone over to his house it was at night and it was nice. I guess he knew how stresses I was and the first thing he did was hand me a beer and his smile was so comforting we all stayed talked and man I was so at peace . This scene of Boothe handing wade a drink made me miss my Grandpa . Cancer sucks but makes you appreciate the little things .

You're free to dislike it, but it's not a mistake. Deadpool is a character who treats his reality like a stage comedy, constantly breaking the 4th wall. So the clashing tone of his humor is integral to his character, very intentional and quite expertly executed.

In Canada there are recruiters for jobs in the reactor buildings, tool crib manager or other flunky jobs. They look for people at the hospital that have already had cancer treatment. My guess is that they want people who won't be able to blame them should future cancers arise.
