Wagon Wheel. In this fiddle lesson I show how to play intro, verse and fiddle solo in various different versions, in G and A. I make reference to the Old Crow Medicine Show and Darius Rucker versions, and use on-screen sheet music. A free pdf of the fiddle parts in Wagon wheel is available to subscribers. Thanks Chris - another great video. Interesting to see the variations on a theme - I’ve been trying to learn by ear the old crow version which is slightly different again. As you say, improvising on the theme is what is all about ( and I’m sure that’s where the (now) iconic versions originated.

Hi Doug. An E minor chord is defined by three notes- the root, third and fifth. This would be E, G and B. You can use any combination of these three notes. In the context of this descending line, I have chosen two G's, but there were plenty of other possibilities. If you want to learn more about chords, try my video "deciphering chords"
