Would be good to see some of the features from Garmin that they don’t have on the Favero such as the Platform Centre Offset. I’m interested because people who have Speedplay seem to favour them for bikefit reasons, so this could be a killer feature.

I remember a single sided power meter was good enough for Chris Froome winning several Grand Tours. What s good enough for him.. Saves a lot of money for essentially a left right balance, which is always 51 - 49.

Ive had double sided loads, bkw ive gone 1 sided... My l/R balance is always 50/50(or 49.9/50.1) So dual sided is pointless

I use pedal extenders to cope with my funky stance and wonky knees, Speedplay have been my go to pedal for years. The first thing Wahoo did was drop the hex on the pedal shaft which screwed me and extenders. Im currently buying a lifetimes stock of zeros - old style. If they did the meter with the hex Wahoo could have my money. Shame.

Look at the size of the cleat on the shoe it just seems like it would get filled with dirt or something fairly easy. Does the accuracy of a power meter really matter as long as it stays consistent?

Are there any MTB versions - I can't recall any previous MTB versions of the Speedplay pedals.

Do Speedplay pedals wear out over time?

I want to love these but I had 2 sets of speed play that I had to return as they had a consistent defect, they went loose and became a real hazard, this is only my personal experience, hopefully they have fixed this issue.

Wahoo are pretty hot on replacements of faulty units. Some reports of things outside warranty being replaced as they like to get kit back to find out why it has failed to improve future versions.

Assiomas are £250 cheaper; that makes Wahoo 40% more expensive 🤯 which is definitely significant given they’re a very similar design logic (electronic pod on the axle). I appreciate the float flexibility is a benefit vs look/Shimano cleats, but now I’ve seen these and the price, my money is going to Favero. Unfortunately it’s a no to Garmin Rally and Wahoo speedplay from me 👋🏻 .

I want a pair, but the price is a hurdle at the moment. Besides that, I want Wahoo to do a replacement for the Frog pedal. I know these were not so popular, but for commuting they were perfect. Wahoo should capitalise on that - just keep making them, or at least the cleats.

Megh, again with the proprietary cable charger, built-in batteries and massive flange with all the electronics exposed. Call me a shill, but Garmin's Rally XC design is simply better; it sure took them a while to get it right, but they're a winner for me.

I hear you. I’ll take the built in batteries over the lithium aaa batteries on my old PowerTap pedals that were a pain to source though

I think its great that there are more options for people who use these pedals - My Garmin Vector 3's (latest revision) suit me just fine and I don't see myself switching anytime soon.

When you said the price, my jaw dropped. I can imagine that for some people they are very useful, but it is amazing to me what people will pay money for, suffice to say they are more expensive than any of my bikes.
