I came to NZ about 10 years ago and it's always interesting to get that reminder of what it's like to be new to Auckland again! If you want a suggestion for something fun and easy to do, grab a scooter with a full battery from around the Ferry Building and scoot all the way down the coast to St Heliers. You can stop in Mission Bay on the way for ice cream, then get lunch in St Heliers. Leave the scooter there and take the bus back. Perfect on a sunny Sunday....there's a bike path the entire way too so it's quite easy going

If you head up north again I highly recommend you stop and Lang’s beach for its beauty, then take a short drive to Waipu and try the pizza barn! They have an amazing food and even better they’re an multi award winning craft brewery known as McLeods!

If you really wanna be blown away visit waiheke in January February and take a car or hire some bikes to go across on cos you wanna get those wineries when that place is fully buzzing and huming with the mainlanders and all the tourists or wait for March when everyone goes back to work and school kids will be out of the way but it’s still hot. If you eat seafood that’s the place to dine too.🙌 I love that it’s only half hour off the mainland but seems like worlds apart

When you said 10,000 steps , it reminded me of hop harvest here in the Tasman region. I dry the hops at night and average 40,000 steps per 14 hour shift.

Has anyone explained to you the Maori vowels? A = Ah. E as in Egg. I = Eeee. O = Or. U like the o in "who". No pressure, but give that a go as a starting point. I don't always get it right but I try.

Awesome video guys. Just a tip on pronouncing the name of the Island. You got the first bit right with wai, but the second part heke, that e letter is pronounced like the e in flex or bed. In fact if you ever see a word in Māori, the e always sounds like that where as the way you are saying it, that's reserved for the letter I in our language. Glad you guys are enjoying this awesome country.

I was ghosted on a half price Food in Wine Tour of Waiheki Island, that was with my nzdating profile, so i just do lunch dates now. The Maritime Museum does a sailing trip out on the Harbour n under the Bridge, thats more a Second Date Tinder theme, or with a Plus One?

OMG, most people either catch the bus up or walk the road up to the township! lol that walk was a bit hard to do imo. Well done for doing it though. There's a lot more to see in Waiheke but of course time is critical and you'd have been better to stay overnight in a B&B too.

@@donovankelly12 I go to waiheke with my friends and i just tag on with that it costs me around 10 NZD (I do have student rates though) make sure to register your hop card because it also makes things cheaper.

Great pronunciation so far. Just one thing - you are saying WAIHIKI. It's an E not an I so it's 'He' as in hen and 'Ke' as in Ken.
