EVERY time I hear Sara Smile I think of my 8th grade girl friend. We went our separate ways when she moved away that year. She married and had children as did I. She passed to leukemia in 1994. But I will never forget her as long as I live. God bless you Missy Seale.

I get a little tear (or full blown ugly cry!) when listen to this song, Sara Smile. I had a German Shepherd mix dog named Sara that used to bare her teeth and smile when she was happy! I used to sing this song to her and make her smile. I had her for 15 wonderful years and she helped raise my kids. The best girl ever. I still mourn her 20 years later. I have to smile through the tears.

Todd Rundgren was my youth's Hall & Oates, I'm 54 years old, with "Hello It's Me" "I Saw The Light" and so many more. When it came to great, melodic, pop/rock hits, Hall & Oates continued the stellar music tradition, starting with "She's Gone" and kept it going, then Todd came back with "Nearly Human" album, it's so special, then as friends Todd and Daryl came together on "Daryl's House" Show for some brilliant performances together😛. In 1989, I saw them at Tipitina’s, a club in NOLA. They went to the club when they were grand marshals for the Endymion Mardi Gras parade and decided to come back and do a club date. It was phenomenal. People wrote requests on scraps of paper during intermission and Daryl picked them up, went through them, and talked about which ones they would add to the show. They looked and sounded like they were having lots of fun. Several covers. Marvin Gaye’s “What’s Going On,” the O’Jays, “Money, Money, Money,” among others. Over 30 years ago and the memory is crystal clear. THE. BEST. DUO. EVER. Daryl Hall is one of the best songwriters in the business.
