I can't wait to see what a Nudestick is. 😂 I think my imagination is running away with me I had to mention I have an 8 year old Black lab and allowed my son to talk me out of bringing home 2 brothers. A huge regret. Every fur buddy needs a Brother. I will be adopting at long last a Brother for Luke but now am thinking as Luke will the be 9 it makes sense to at long last bring home my two puppy Brothers. You would do me the greatest service if you were to tell me this was a great idea not a slightly silly dog lover having a moment of dellusional thinking. Looks like a good "starter kit". There is enough makeup for each part of the face, a sprinkle of skincare, and a pinch of tools. It's like a perfect touch-up bag!

I think this the first one I actually kinda want? I don't wear makeup much at all, but all of this looks like a fantastic set to have for the rare occasion I do. Some of it I might actually wear regularly as long as my skin is okay with it. Might check it after Christmas for sales.

I really like the makeup bag as a gift. FAR better than a scrunchy or half of a mirror compact. I'd actually use the bag. Plus those bags are great to use for hygeine kits for people in need.

❤❤❤ Donating makeup bags is a great idea!! As a former case manager, I can say that most makeup donations are too specific to really distribute fairly and make everyone happy. But the bags are GREAT! People who live outside or in shelters definitely need more ways to protect certain items, so they keep and use those bags! And it's much easier to find a design that someone likes than to find them the right donated concealer or lippie. It lifts spirits, fills a useful role, and is easy to donate safely & hygenically!

@@montananerd8244 absolutely. I usually put in hand sanitizer, toothbrush and paste, deodorant, and feminine products. Tea bags. Instant coffee. ETC Plus often many of the bags are waterproof.

Yes! My sister and I used to be Ipsy subscribers back in the early days when they always had cute bags, and we would fill them with hygiene products and menstrual products for distribution at the women’s shelter my mom worked for. Everyone deserves hygiene with dignity and care, and having a secure and private way to store it was far more dignified than the plastic zip and paper bags we were having to use prior. Many of the ladies would bring theirs back and let us refill them for them because they wanted to make sure others could get a bag. We ended up finding a foundation that was willing to, with their donation, fund having bags made for our city shelters! It was really nice to have

The company was started by tween & teen sisters. I saw it on Shark Tank or QVC/HSN, I just remember the mom and two girls talking about the company and explaining the sticks. The sticks were all multi tasking for convenience and lighter color/coverage due to the girl’s age and the mom not wanting them in adult makeup.

12 day calendars are actually supposed to start on christmas, and go for the 12 traditional days of xmas, which ends on January 6th.😊 I think that's why alot of the 12 day calendars don't go on sale much before xmas.

Tbh this does seem pretty darn good considering how expensive minis/travel size items are at Ulta and Sephora. It seems like a good way to try out the brand and the colors included work together. If I had the money I would definitely pick it up 😊

I got the Trader Joes beauty advent calendar and ive freaking LOVED everything I've gotten so far! I got a 12 day one for $20 and honestly I'd totally buy one for $50 for 24 days, I hope they will make a bigger one next year!

I just want to go to Trader Joe's ONCE lol! Everytime I travel, it ends up too low priority, and we just got our first Whole Foods a quick 6 hrs from my city, so I doubt we're getting Trader Joe's on the blue collar side of Montana any time soon...

I think it was pretty good! Nearly all universally wearable shades and decent percentage of make up to skin care. I dont think their full stated value is there but I’d probably still purchase as a gift.

Couple of pro tips from someone chronically ill who also has ADHD. Never ever say "Oh I'll take that med later." You will not take it later. If you can. Get it as soon as you remember it. If you can't, set a reminder alarm immediately. Also, for everyday med alarms, I find it very helpful to not turn my alarm off until I've taken the med. That way I don't turn off the alarm while distracted by something and realize an hour later I never did step two. Hope you continue to feel better! ❤

Re chapstick vs nudestix: just so you know, chapstick really is one of the best lip balms available. I was surprised to learn that there's actual data and chapstick is one of the top performers. Definitely one of my *serious lip balms* for when it's below 0°, windy, or I'm exercising outside. That said, not my fave formula for sensory feels, but definitely one of the better options for protection & emollients.

If you have one of those net bun donut thingies, they are made of the same stuff as a Color Switch! Rub your brush on it to remove color, enough to switch colors! Don't use it in your hair without cleaning it 😂

Nudestix is a Canadian brand and they’re one of my favourite ever! I’ve tried so many of their products, makeup, skincare and body care. My faves are the sunscreen, the concealer and the nudies matte lux blush. Honestly the all over face sticks last FOREVER (at least the full sized ones like the Hot Fire one.) They’re more focused on natural looking makeup and easy to use makeup (things you can blend with your fingers for instance.) Also you can definitely use the Blot & Blur on top of makeup. I’ve used it on top of powder foundation during my sister’s wedding (30C day) and it didn’t move anything around :)
