I love this series when it aired on Disney Channel and this series was my first introduction to Justin Roiland as a Voice actor. While the majority say they got introduced to Justin Roiland through _Rick & Morty_ or _Adventure Time_ where in the latter series he voiced Lemongrab, _Fish Hooks_ and also _Gravity Falls_ were my introduction to Justin Roiland.

Fish Hooks is one of those shows along with Gravity Falls and Wonder Over Yonder that I used to watch a lot of and all the way to the end of the series. It’s so cool to see you cover it and give me a blast to the past! It may have not of been a spectacular show that’s a masterpiece, but it was overall a pretty good show with a few misses then and there(still remember disliking that one episode where Albert just didn’t like Bea when all could’ve been avoided if he just gave her a cupcake!).

Fun fact, in Spanish dub there were fun word name puns too like Almenjandra (Clawmendra in English I guess?) sounds like the name Alejandra and the word almeja wich is the species that she is ¡brilliant! and Shellsea called Ostrencia witch is a pun between Ostra=shell and the name Hortencia which is a female name and also a flower name (the H is completely silent so it’s sound pretty similar) y think I remember that other characters also had name puns like the octopus boy but i don’t quite remember but almeja+Alejandra=Almenjadra it’s top tier dub adaptation aplausos para el equipo de traducción 👏

The octopus boy was translated to Pulpleito, I think. Pulpo = octopus and pleito = brawl or something like that.

Yeah, this was during the time when Disney was still showing good and original shows, Fishhooks felt naturally funny, it never tried being too hard at it lol. The characters were funny and awesome, seeing both Oscar's and Bee's relationship grow into mutual feelings was cool too, it never felt forced, but came along gradually. This was definitely one of my favorite animated shows back in 2010. The theme song is unforgettable.

The overall premise and sense of humor were fun, the art style was a blast to look at (always a sucker for multimedia animation), and the characters each had such distinct designs and lovable personalities! It may not a majority of people's favorite Disney show but it's certainly a modern classic

Honestly this show helped me a lot as a kid which feels weird to say about a show about fish in highschool. i had recently been told i was getting braces when this show premiered and i was so scared. seeing oscar, a main character with braces, made me feel better about getting metal stuck to my teeth :)
