Great to see a video of TK2 from a known youtuber! The game community manager already told a lot in his own comment, but I just wanted to add for the ones who's saying that's just a copy/paste of CTR: At least try the demo before confirming that TK2 is an actual copy. This is true it's heavily inspired by CTR, the mechanics work differently, there is no top speed limit but your skills and what tracks allow to do. It feels really different enough once you really used to its gameplay. :)

Really glad ya showed me this, it's gameplay is fantastic! Though some of the shortcuts in the game may need to be nerfed. I don't mean the ones blocked off by laps, I mean like every map has 1-3 different Papu Papu Pyramid skip style shortcuts. It's insanely cool looking/feeling but MAN if people lose to that online they will NOT wanna play the game lol

There seems to be a lot less penalty for grazing a wall. You just sort of scrape against it without losing nearly as much speed as you would in CTR.

Boost starts in CTR is a skill just like everything else. On a basic level if you time your revs with the lights you will get one every time. The higher your revs on green the more boost you will get. Where the skill comes in is getting your revs as high a possible without backfiring. Just like drifting if you hold for to long you will have to start at square one.

I have over 100 hours on this demo, and its really a blast and such a joy to learn and do time trials in, havent had such joy in a game for the past decade. It feels so smooth really looking forward to when online play gets released

@@xSabinx1 Im pretty sure it is. Though it's not required to do U-turning atm at the higehst level. I use it to tho to make it easier to hit some of the unintended shorcuts. The game has a lot of those, since you can build up a lot of speed. If you are able to boost correctly. You can keep on drifting in mid air which a lot of people use instead of U-turning to get the correct angle and build up more speed mean while.

One thing I've noticed it's unrealistic is that when your kart hit the wall by one side of your kart it don't slow down and it actually make it harder to controll. also the normal speed of the kart are so fast, in NTR you have to work hard to not to hit the walls to hold your nitro fuel to have a high speed. It's a nice game after all I'll try it.

Doubt I'll ever play this over CTR unless they actually add something to it that I can't get in CTR. Can't say I'd play it because it's different take on CTR because it look like clay just like the remake and plays like it. A good 4 player split screen campaign would be nice though, or anything that's not a variation of time trial because you hit max speed and no one can catch up.

You should try the ctr mods from CTR tools, they've modded the Nitro Fueled mechanics into the original CTR and are currently working on a PC decomp for it as well. The mods are really easy to set up, just have to patch the iso and you're good.

The difficulty is the most confusing aspect of this game honestly, I love it a lot but I have tried all the difficulties and did not feel any difference between them. CTR you can feel the difference from beginner and hard. This game not so much.
