@@victo2440 which is pathetic when people can't acknowledge reality for what it is. We in the West constantly turn to social media and stupid comedies/romantic comedies as a way to escape from the real world they live in.

Society has driven people to expect the fairytale life when they grow up. The difference is men are raised to be providers so they realise early on dreams and reality arent linked. Women on the other hand can continue to wish for the perfect prince charming as their role is to attract. The balance of reality doesnt sink in until much later.. sometimes when it's too late.

What is striking: So what if a guy does an Austin Powers impersonation on the second date!? Was she stating it's fine to ditch a guy over THAT, or because the woman is not impressed with the impersonation itself? Sounds like she's actually enabling women to continue to be so picky that they will continue to shoot themselves in the foot.

Most of societal ills can be traced to the parents. Yes, there are stand alone instances where parental influence had no effect, but in most cases women who have unrealistic expectations have them because all the life they have been told how they are a perfect princess and no man will be good enough for "daddy's little princess".

Hollywood and Television are the ones who caused this damage. Videos, in a word. This has ruined mating, in the Western world at least, and I don't know how to fix this. How do you show a woman that she isn't a princess, and have her turn into a realist?
@Drarack9 жыл бұрын
Why does everyone always keep bringing up Angelina Jolie as this supposed paragon of attractiveness? Her lips look like a life raft. I can see how s people could perceive her as attractive, but come on, she is your go to example for unattainably high beauty standards?
@rockmyworldmusic3 жыл бұрын
Because of her overall sex appeal. I think her lips are okay but I get why other guys think they're too big. But even still, she just carries herself in a sexy way.

I wondered where and who she surveyed because not every woman is so picky. It is not fair to generalize and say women are picky. If anything men are picky 'too' , ask the women who are changing themselves because they don't think they can get a 'decent' man unless they look like a Angelina Jolie' or any other hollywood superstar.
@vivekiyer90623 жыл бұрын
And I have a 26 year old example of who she interviewed right in my own family. Most of her friends too think the same way that she does. So yeah Lori seems to have interviewed a broad enough section of women.
@NM-ru2qj3 жыл бұрын
Not all of them but a good amount. And it’s always the mediocre ones who have incredibly high standards.
@rockmyworldmusic3 жыл бұрын
Clearly you missed the video and the tons of others like it. Men in general are absolutely NOT too picky. Guys will have a list of four or five attributes they want from a partner. Many women will have 40 or 50 characteristics easily.
