Picking a starter mask is one of the most important decisions you will make in Soulmask. This choice can make or break your experience. I will show you all the masks you can choose at the beginning of the game so that you can make the right choice and if you already made the wrong choice I will show you how to get the other masks.

If you're on singleplayer, you can simply log out near the boss, and log back in. Everything will respawn, even loot. Might be patched, but worked for me before.

I picked Civilization at the start thinking it was the econ/crafting choice. The stealth and archery presented by the other masks seemed a bit too narrow of a focus to be a starting mask, IMO. I just didn't expect spears to be such a versatile PVE weapon: harpoon to separate enemies(can even land head shots for extra damage) and rapid stabs queued by holding attack can also chain head shots against animals.

After you fight the plunderer boss, you can drop off the backside of the building and avoid fighting all those assholes again. Saved me a lot of time and pain.

I killed him twice and both times he dropped the mask of Civilization, despite the fact that I already had it from the start. And waiting for the dungeon to respawn and going all the way over and over again is very boring.

They do but not the magical way player seem to want. I like the fact that the game has systems rooted in reality. Like having a tribesman go get the items. None of that it’s magically in the workbench stuff.

One thing that’s REALLY frustrating me about the game is moving tribesmen. I went into a barracks looking for likely subjects. Found several and recruited them at a little outpost I made near the barracks. The problem is there is no easy way I’ve found to get them back to the base

I believe all you need to do is once they are yours, deploy them and lead them back to your base. Pretty time consuming though.

Set marks on the map leading to your base and set them to work wild gathering. Change the location over and over till they get home.

HI, they added a fallow function. You need to have control unlocked, and then you go open the menu, and it's an F key list them on your left side of the screen.

I would like to know what is the best mask for pvp, especially at the end of the game.

I don't PvP but if I had to make a guess at it, I would say the Ironblood guard is going to be one of the metas for fighting and the Shadow walker is going to be the meta for scouting. Torch of Eternity is nice but really only good for PVE.

When you fight that last boss you do not need to fight them all to get out again if you waited for him to respawn in the position you were in waiting for him turn left and you can just drop off the wall and no damage short drop off i even rode my Llama of it and took nothing

Can I ask do you have problems with the dogs in this game I can handle higher level gators, jaguars haven't tried a snake yet (still early game tbh) but those dogs just wreck almost everytime I come across them especially the ones found at the ancient ruins, pretty sure I will have an easier chance fighting the elite jaguar XD

The issue with the Bush dogs is that they attack while moving. Don't know what weapons you are using but if you hold block and wait for them to do the pouncing attack, you have a window to not only parry them but to deal damage while they recover from said attack. Also, if you are fighting above your level, it's normal that they would kill you since most dogs are in packs of 2 in the wild and 3 in the ruins. Far above the 1vs1 jaguars offer you with their more telegraphed attacks

I cant believe the over hype again for this asset flip flopper. Why is it that games these days are nothing but place holder asset flip floppers with zero skill devs... Well, cant say zero skill, they have barely minimum skill so they can smash the assets together and create something out of it. I mean this game is just BDO with ARK & Conan elements. The game looks like its made in the early 2000s

Fought this boss in a duo with bone armor and bone weapons, but it was very difficult. Also, there is a way to drop from up there without running back through. If you are standing at the top of the steps from the last boss, there is a broken wall to the right with a half pillar laying on the ground. You can jump on the pillar and then jump over the wall.

I've done those barracks in dropped flint gear and bone weaponry. I play in normal difficulty with no changed settings. It's really easy to single out all of the dudes until you get to the above section. You can also sneak around if you use trowing rocks. People disrespect trowables too much

Stats for this video are on a tribesman. But I also use smoked ham food buff for 200 addition hit points.
