You missed the best ramen shop in Wakayama. Its called AJI Ramen. Maybe you’ll have to try it next time.
And the most famous Ramen shop in Wakayama is here. It’s a bit strong for me but many people like it. There’s always a long line. They sell it in boxes in some stores, but it’s never the same. Ide shoten 〒640-8329 Wakayama, Tanakamachi, 4-chōme−84 073-424-1689 goo.gl/maps/LLCvq9oqWddv6C2M9

American Ramen sucks. Japan is the only place I can eat ramen now because everywhere else just doesn’t cut it. Good thing I live in Japan!
@takaomatsukawa16 жыл бұрын
I've traveled to many places; Japan, USA, Canada, Mexico, Central America and South America looking for and eating ramen everywhere and I can honestly say that there are quite a lot of good places in the US that fair well with ramen made in Japan but not so anywhere else where you may find less than a handful or none at all. Let's hope that changes soon. I enjoy this channel. Great videos!

I love these videos, but I wish you would talk a little bit more about why this bowl is better or why you prefer this other bowl. It seems you like everything you eat and it's hard to understand which bowls you prefer and why :-D Just a thought, I'm still watching all the videos and I like them a lot :-)
@ramenadventure6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment. This particular video was a bit unique.

Ramen Adventures Yes, but I've watched many of your videos and it's usually hard to understand which bowls of ramen you like more then others and why. I've heard you praise a bowl of delivery instant ramen as much as you praised a bowl of ramen from a Michelin star restaurant 😂😂 Are all bowls in Japan equally good, and if not, why? What are some traits of excellence and what should I avoid when I go for ramen in Japan?

I’ve heard of Seino’s 2nd shop in a department store near Wakayama train station. Is this legit and the same quality as their shop in Arida? Also is it worth the hype?

Need to have more content, you really put in a good 2 days it would be nice to see more of the culture, the travel, and of course the star (ramen). I do appreciate what you uploaded, but walk away feeling like a brother just getting a postcard???? Don't want to sound critical maybe look at it as a little feedback from a fan.

Ramen Adventures Kind of what I expected, but part of me was hoping he might have been a fan 😆 Thanks for the vid!
I'm always disappointed by your video, don't get me wrong. I like to watch Ramen (That's why I subscribed), but you have a serious writing problem, I would rather watch with just music. You are not very eloquent and you spend the video's runtime only saying some run of the mill stuff, you keep repeating "Wakayama", "oh! Wakayama" But you are not explaining anything. You are saying Wakayama ramen are different? Why? what makes them different? Anyway, it's like the other video, it's just you trying to sound cool with "Crushed it!".....

Thanks for the feedback. I’ve never done so many in a video. Ill get more descriptive

First off, I just want to say I appreciate your love for ramen and totally respect you and your plentiful experience eating ramen in Japan, which is why I would like to see you get even better. Most of your audience are probably not going to be in Japan for a very long time (i.e. mostly tourists), we don't have the luxury of time to experience everything like you can. So maybe to add on to what casquette said, I think you can do much better by actually comparing the ramen you are eating right now with some of the more memorable ones you had before in a head-on comparison. I can see you avoiding to do that because of your deep understanding and appreciation of ramen but really, I don't know about others, but I watch and read your reviews because I want to know how you felt this bowl of ramen is different from that popular store and why is it better or worse is your opinion. But by staying generic in your descriptions (which I notice plenty of times in your ramen adventure blog - in fact, I am beginning to think that I am not getting any value out of your blogs other than to sieve out the really not worthwhile ramen) and afraid to make comparisons, all your ramen adventures culminate to only one thing - a nagging journey to convert people who don't like ramen to love ramen; honestly, those who watch and follows you are people who already loves ramen, and I believe we all would benefit from further in-depth discussion of why this ramen is better or worse than the other popular ones. We all know it's subjective, and hence all the fun in such discussions as such debates reveal interesting points and insights. Personally, at this point, I think there's more value even in a top-10 must eat ramen list versus not giving any comparative judgement at all. So to put what I have said in practice, perhaps, for this video where all your ramen have a wakayama style, please compare them head on, no matter how subjective it is. Which one do you like more and why. As of now, after watching everything, I have no idea if you liked the two ramen places you handpicked more or the places the taxi driver brought you to more. Your video now is more of "here are some shots of how ramen looks like in Wakayama". I don't even know if it's worth my time as a traveler to go all my way out to Wakayama. Perhaps, you have lived in Japan for far too long that you are starting to behave like them, avoiding conflicts. :p
