I was in hospital recently. The nutrientionist was about 5.6" and 130kgs...and didn't know anything about nutritions relationship to health. All cancer patients were on a "high energy diet" she called it. High energy meant >50%carbs. A cancer patient eating high amounts of sugar, stale food...is like pouring petrol on a cancer. I wondered how many people had been unintentionally killed by their...high energy diet. I was shocked.

So interesting you created this video... In Oct I woke up in the middle of the night with over 100 bpm. I called the paramedics, and ended up hospitalized for a couple days. They chalked it up to severe dehydration. Not sure they were incorrect, but I was hooing to get more specifics uoon discharge. One thing specific on my discharge papers was to avoid potassium, which I thought wierd. Didn't explain why. I wish that there was morw consultation as opposed to paperwork and questions. Never saw the diagnosing doc, which Inalsonthought was interesting, too. Thanks fornlaying this all out- sad that I turn to KZbin for answers, as opposed to the folks that looked at my bloodwork, etc., First hand.

I'm surprised he hasn't mentioned sodium. That was and still is my reason for this condition. When I started low-carbing and had an active day, I literally had this problem every time. One night woke up, found the sodium issue on the internet, went to the kitchen, simply mixed in some salt in water, downed it and the problem immediately disappeared. Since then, I have been drinking salt water during the day and I use much larger amount of sodium to "flavour" my food.

Palpitations (aka PVCs --> premature ventricular contractions) is where the ventricle doesn't beat at the right time, so the blood builds up in the chamber causing discomfort and pain. Then once it beats it can be extremely strong, causing more pain. I had this years ago because I was working an extremely stressful job, in an extremely stressful marriage and having issues with trying to sleep because of these issues. Plus I was taking way too many stimulants (coffee, sugar, etc) to keep me awake for my graveyard double-shift job) and also decongestants for my allergies, which are also stimulants. I cured this issue with hawthorn. I took it for about a year before being able to fully wean myself off of it. It was expensive but it worked great! Since then if I feel the slightest hint of palpitations I just take my sublingual B vitamin complex and folic acid. It's worked for me and made me a true believer in natural medicine. The doctors wanted to put me on heart meds! There's no telling where I'd be now if I had listened to them!
@Liebsy
@Liebsy Жыл бұрын
I was diagnosed with a-fib a few years ago, and my Cardiologist recommended ablation surgery to correct the issue. I felt like it would be putting a band-aid on the issue, so I declined the surgery this past December. Recently, I have not experienced a-fib, but I have been experiencing periodic episodes of either PVC's or PAC's (not sure which). I have increased my salt intake (Redmond's Sea Salt), increased my potassium intake, and increased my magnesium intake (Magnesium Taurate). Additionally, I have given up caffeine, and I just began the Keto diet. I can't say that I feel better....yet, but this regimen makes more sense to me than heart surgery/medications. I may try Hawthorne, too. GOOD LUCK....and here's to your health!!

After years of chronic anxiety,stress and severe insomnia, I deal with some crazy cardiac stuff, especially at night. Diet is a factor. If I eat a bunch of pizza or chips or dessert, I will absolutely not fall asleep that night due to a rapid, irregularz pounding heart beat. Feel it in my chest and in my temples, even in my teeth. Having a steak and salad makes it much more likely I will not have these symptoms but doesn't eliminate it completely.

Agreed dr. Berg you are absolutely amazing! I wake up with anxiety and racing heart my pulse rate usually during the day is about 103 it does go down into the 90s and once I take something to calm down, like valerian root sometimes it goes down to the 80s. I am a smoker I have extremely low iron. I have extremely heavy bleeding and I'm going through the change. So I feel stuck between a rock and a hard spot. I do keto some days it is 50% carnivore. I do not consume any sugar and I take a lot of magnesium.

@sayara sami Hi back at you! I'm sorry to hear that you're going through this crap. It is so difficult. Like I said I'm going through the change and I have uterine fibroids and I have insanely heavy periods. So I'm getting a triple Whammy of have you periods, low iron and the change. That's not including me already having fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome. I have been clean and sober for 18 years and I have had anxiety ever since I stopped drinking and drugs. But it also runs in the family. I will be 45 years old as of the 21st of this month so in two days LOL and I seriously cannot wait for my bleeding to stop. I have had my heart checked extensively when I was 29 years old and again two and a half years ago and didn't find anything wrong at all. Which is a good thing LOL I also had my carotid arteries checked exactly a year ago and I have zero blockages. If you ever want to talk you can find me on Facebook. My name is Natty Gamache 😊😊

This has been going on with me for years, I was diagnosed with, “nocturnal panic attacks”, since I’ve been taking magnesium Glycinate, I’ve not had this problem, it is VERY frightening. BTW, I was also recently diagnosed with Hypothyroidism, so I’m also on Levothyroxine, so it could also possibly be the Levo, that has helped.

I walk one hour per day and have done for a year. Recently I've started getting the 'almost fainting' syndrome. My pulse at rest - sitting - is 66bpm which I feel isn't bad for a 53 year old, but when I stand up, it shoots up to 100. I've been eating low carb since June 2020, plus intermittent fasting 19:5 and I've lost 90 pounds in blubber. Hoping to survive through the pandemic so that I can find a hospital that treats normal issues and not just Wuhan plague.
