I’m going to give you a tip I’ve learned and tried/trued and I’m not messing around or jerking your chain….use dch3095 hardener in your dc2000 clear….flows and looks like dc4000, but sets up and bakes fast like dc2000…nicer and faster jobs in and out of the booth, give it a try

3M pps 2.0 cups the adapter is a male fitting S9 is the part number!

I like 30 psi for clear! And slow hardener allows for the solvents to evaporate at a slower rate, which in turn will allow for better flow of the product , so long as a long enough flash time is given, it won’t make the clear set up too fast and allows for better gloss overall. It all depends on ambient temperatures really, but if you have a heated booth that stays at a consistent temp, slow can be used year round with no issues!

@@edwardzx7 i have sprayed 3 cars with it and they look very good . No problems . They feel good in hand and have a nice Spray pattern . The clear 1.2 is much faster then my devilbiss 1.3 .

When I made this video I was spraying EHP yes! And I was I was using the 3m full face mask here. I switched shops about 9 months ago spraying different paint and using fresh air system!

Bought the same base coat gun with an extra 1.3 tip for clear coat. Did you use the 1.3 basecoat tip for your clear on this video? Just want to know if the clearcoat tip is practically the same.

Close 2nd would be iwata ws400 evo. But for all around material savings and quality/speed. Walcom takes the win for me!

Does the HTE Clear gun leave a flatter finish than the Sagola 4600 with the DVR Clear aircap when spraying high solids clearcoat?

I just bought the 360 carbonio and I have the sagola 4600. I haven't used the walcom yet but I will let you know. I can get some pretty glassy finishes with the Sagola

I personally have never used a sagola spray gun so I can’t answer your question! But I’ve heard great things about them!

I just used the walcom for a job. It seems to be about the same finish as the Sagola. About the same material consumption. It is definitely lighter. I like the Sagola digital readout in the gun much better

hi brother, can you tell me if i could use 1.3 or 1.4 HTE CLEAR GUN to use it for clear coat and paint. can it do both or only for clear coat. much appreciated

1.3 or 1.4 would both be fine! My clear gun is a 1.3. However I wouldn’t recommend using one gun for both. It will work hit you run the risk of contamination between base coat and clear out of the same gun. Just my opinion!

Break down what you can ( trigger, nozzle),and tape off some ( air valve, and treads on the nozzle). Come up with you own limited edition pattern, or design. Use another gun to clear coat your design. Untape and put it back together. I thought about doing this soon to my Eastwood concours pro gun!
