If you can contact xyl about the stock rods wearing out and collapsing that’d be appreciated. Since the stock catch and stock rods are metal the rods wear out overtime

I don't necessarily partake in NERF outside of the occasional popping some darts off... but Gods I adore so many of the designs that all these companies and people deliver. The Unicorn just looks cool to me.

I love my Unicorn. I only have two complaints about it. The first is that the collapsible stock only has catches on one of the arms while the other is free-floating. I assume this was a cost-saving measure, but it's going to be a long-term issue for anyone that really uses that stock to prime off the shoulder. Lots of folks have reported the catches wearing out and no longer holding the stock in place. The second is that the sights are purely decorative. There's really no way to look down those sights with a cheek-to-stock position. This issue is easily fixed by attaching a cheap red dot to the top of the blaster, but I wish more blaster manufacturers would include usable sights if they bother adding them to the configuration.

I absolutely agree. plenty of blasters have unusable iron sights, even the Seagull’s included sights are very uncomfortable to use with a proper stock.

The Unicorn sights are usable if you extend the stock fully and rest your cheek on the metal bar. Getting an optic is still better tho because you can’t see much with the iron sighrs

Can't believe you spent all that time without this Unicorn!! You were missing out. This Blaster is Amazing., Put a wider barrel in, it'll contact with the Bearing and smoothen your prime.

Looks like you had a "sploosh" moment there mate! Actually, for the price, the Unicorn is a bloody great blaster. Mine came with a non-ported pt and is tuned for the Uk market, so with the short barrels hits just under 130 fps. Just what I want it for. Short, compact, handy and seriously robust . I do have the extended barrel and upgrade spring, but hey, I've an X-shot longshot for 150, a modded ceda s for 200 and a swift to fulfil the long-range artillery role, so I've never installed them. This is what we want blasters to be, out of the box, as we go forwards. Mind you....the joy of brass...(Kind of like the secret of steel in Conan the Barbarian).

This is my favorite blaster I own. Both the short and long barrel I have for it have come out of the nylon housing, they both seem to friction fit now. I can swap between them without disassembly really quickly. I believe they are glued when they ship but you can get them out if you want, though you may loose a smidge of air seal I didn't notice any difference. The metal pusher and spring sled are a really nice addition to the blaster. I put in a stock kronos spring with the short barrel and got it down to around 120fps average. The versatility and ease of dialing in to many different fps ranges are this things best strength.

My preferred stock for mine is a Worker buffer tube with the Nexus stock on it. Then I use the stock that comes with the blaster as a cheek rest. It looks clunky, but it feels good to me. Happy to hear your thoughts on this thing. It’s one of my go-to primaries.

Yea this is something I might have to buy at some point, and I've pretty much fully moved to airsoft now. Not only is it well thought out with the accessories, it preforms well for the size and it looks great, looks like a nerfified TEC-9.

Just something to note, you don’t actually have to pull apart, blaster to swap barrels. If you can get a good grip on the small barrel, you can just pull it right out. It is friction fit in there. Then the long barrel can go right in. You do need to guide the return spring back into place though. And it is much easier to pull out the bigger barrel, since you have more area to grip it.

Not really friction fit. They're glued in to prevent any kind of air leak, so if you pulled the barrel out like that you most likely have an air leak now. That's why the new barrel comes with a breech face glued to it, even though you'd already have one.

I ordered a 2nd longer one to cut to a middle length, we’ll see what happens with that one when it comes in I guess haha

The first thing that comes to mind with the low pricepoint and tough materials is "Ideal Rental Blaster". If that is true then a distributer could consider 6,10,20? rental "field starter" packages. I would jump on that deal right now If available.

I love my Unicorn, but my adjustable stock doesn't lock into place anymore, the slightest bit of pressure will collapse it. It didn't take long for it to wear out either.

XYL aka little moon produces gel blaster and was a pretty big player with the arp9 and the s&w revolver, but since now China have banned gel blaster, they switched to nerf blaster

The ban is rumor only. As long as you dont bring out the blaster in public or play in public. Its ok to own a gel blaster in China even it looks exactly like a real firearm.

I have both and they both have their pros and cons. The Seagull is more versatile and is capable of higher velocities with an easier prime. It is $30 more though and unless you are child sized it needs a stock upgrade right out of the box. The Unicorn is a close quarters beast and has almost pistol like handling. The short stock barrel has accuracy and velocity limitations in open areas.
