Yeah.... The guns in Destiny are indeed massive. I am sad that unlike the NERF GHorn skin where it loaded a Demolisher Rocket, the Ace doesn't reload with the NERF cylinder that the LMTD version uses.

A few things i figured out. The first is that the blaster is life sized. I compared mine to the one in game whilst in the tower... yeah its a big boi. The second is that youre supposed the hold the hammer whilst reloading... which is easy for me since i gots big digits. Cowboy reload is indeed a thing you can do.

Fun fact, the Halo Magnum put ingame during Bungie's last anniversary had flavor text that basically said hand cannons are using at least 50bmg size projectiles. We know that because the Magnum used a **smaller** cartridge.

This is the first Nerf blaster that looks appealing to me that I won't be getting. Still, I love how they stayed faithful to one of my favorite weapons in Destiny 2. I can't wait to see how people fit LEDs in there to mimic the "Memento Mori" trait (essentially the cylinder glowing when one reloads after a kill, giving higher dmg bullets).

7:18 Its a very nice pull, it honestly feels like what youd expect a forearm sized revolver to have. I love it though, the only real issue i have is that small front post. I get its for the looks but it wouldnt kill it to put a tinge higher the frame's hump. Other then that feels just right in hand, the swing arm for the cylinder feels like it would have benefited from being a bit chunckier like weve seen in the Maverick line but eh its not a deal breaker.If you like the franchise and dont want to shell out for the Ghorn, $50 isnt that bad for what you get.

As destiny player, size is about right. You can look up online community tring to find out how big would be Destiny hand canon if it was made irl and it was agreed that Destiny hand canons are big as adult forearm with firepower of high anti material rifle up to smaller tank round. I still remember shoting hand canon for first time in game and noticed it has fire power enough to remove whole head and neck off the shoulder. So for none destiny player gun is big but for destiny player it isn't comparing fact there are even bigger and more powerful guns than hand canons

The best thing they could have done was make it so that they had a trigger/switch on the side (that you could reach with your firing hand) to open up the cylinder. Then they could make it so that when you pull the trigger, it pulls back the hammer to make the blaster feel like it has more kick to it

A moving double-action hammer would also be visually accurate to how the Ace of Spades (and indeed, most of the hand cannons in the game, barring the exceptions like the Omolon designs or the Last Word) operates in game. On a controller, the hammer will even move up and down depending on how depressed the trigger is, all the way up until it fires.

it looks pretty big, but not much bigger than a real steel 500 magnum revolver, an elite dart is a fair bit longer than a 500 magnum round, by about 3/4 of an inch, but it is about the same length as 45-70 government, which there is a revolver chambered for it, the magnum research BFR, and is roughly that size depending on barrel length.

It's probably fir to assume that they used slimmer flywheels to be more accurate to the gun in-game. It's a pretty thin gun in terms of its body so I can appreciate they faithfully recreated the body and scale VERY well from the game (they even figured out how to accurately simulate ejecting the ammo cylinders).

I ordered mine on the 22nd of last month, two days before the orders for non-players opened up. I grinded my ass off to get the ingame seal you had to get in order to order the blaster before September 24th, thinking that ordering it early would let me get it sooner, and that it would make it more likely to get one since I didn't know how many of these they made and I didn't wanna wait for the general orders to open up and risk them selling out before I can get one. After all that time I spent getting the seal to order it early... it still hasn't arrived. Not really anything I can do about it, it just hurts that I wasted all that time playing when it didn't actually change when I'd get the blaster : / I at least thought that ordering it early would cause it to ship before the general orders shipped, but no, assuming Walcom and Dr. Flux's orders shipped the same day as mine, the fact they both got theirs within the last 2-3 days means they both live way closer than the 700 miles away that I live from the shipping depot. Meanwhile mine won't be here until this weekend at the earliest. With that being said, if they had made it shoot short darts instead of full length darts, I would have bought two. 100% there will be extensive aftermarket options for this blaster by the time the snow melts.

I can actually see Nerf releasing other non-IP versions of this pistol. Correct me if i'm wrong but i don't think there is another "six shooter" pistol with semi-auto or auto shooting. All other cowboy-style six shooters from nerf are "manual" single shot. Edit: have to agree with others that a spring loaded slam fire would have been nice too.

Something I've noticed that I'm too cowardly do modify RN: The "barrel end plug" seems to not have a smooth transition into the barrel and instead, there's a small ledge of plastic the dart might get caught on. Could anybody confirm and try out if removing that ledge fixed the accuracy problems?
