What the rugby world has been hoping for and also kind of fearing from Fiji is an organized game plan and executing it. Better set pieces, box kicking in the end for territory was great by big frank, unbelievable talent with ball in hand of course, but a pretty complete 10 that drives the game plan for a win is awesome for them

Does the WRU have the money to buy him out, even if you did who would you replace him with? The issues in Wales run deeper than coaching, its mis-management at all levels of the WRU. They need fresh blood, new ideas, and a 10 year plan. I fear it'll be a rough few years at Wales whatever they do. It's what they do about the future that is important now

The only mistake Gatland made yesterday was having Costelo on the bench instead of Eddie James The loss was on the players We blew two maul opportunities inside their 10m Rowlands messes up a pick & go about 5m from their line We arsed about with pick & drives and blew another try when we should have done exactly what we did for the disallowed try Winnett blew a 3 on 1 at the death That’s 5 definite try scoring opportunities with no return Contrast that with SA who had about 6 chances yesterday and scored 4 tries

Fiji is a particularly difficult side for Wales. We don't have the physicality to shut them down - which is how many other teams beat them - and they invite/tempt/tease Wales into wanting to play a more open game - which is a mistake at the moment. Personally I’d say Gats has more leeway than Borthwick because he just doesn’t have the quality of players to choose, and more broadly Welsh rugby is a mess. Borthwick isn’t doing much better despite having a quality pool of players and bottomless pockets. Changing the Welsh coach won’t make any difference whereas you’d back a more attacking coach to get a lot more out of England.

If England had that much talent to choose from they wouldn't have poached Waboso off us and it's not like the English game is in the healthiest state after several clubs folding. Also I disagree that a change of coach wouldn't change anything. Gatland constantly cocks up selections by using his favourites instead of players who have been banging at the door for months. His 6/2 split has backfired massively for us today and we lost all momentum because of it...

Blair Murray played in exactly 'zero' games for the Crusaders. He played for Canterbury in the NPC and quickly realised he hit his ceiling in NZ and reached for the ancestry card. He will need to get used to being a door mat from now on. Fiji have incredible athletes, and despite growing up in a very poor country, they find a way to humble a six nation team. Fiji are a top tier side now (last week they were obviously without their best players) and Wales are notoriously slow starters. I can see Wales narrowly losing the next two games and then winning a grand slam next year. A couple of changes like James at 12 and more experience to the younger guys and I see a top team in the future. The difference between Reffell and Radradra cards was the Radradra had a 30 metre run up without any obstruction.

I hope this is true, but a grandslam? At this point, I'll be happy not to get the spoon!

This is obviously the Southern win. I am so happy for Fiji, with all their problems- disorganized and your Rugby union is detangling from fraud. Everyone takes your players to make themselves better. Whenbis Fiji going yo be the giant they are. Saffer her, I love my country but Fiji get your f@$%&n team together. You are 🔥.

Fiji deserved their victory in the second half, fair play to them. Entertaining match in the first half from both opponents, but Wales never looked dangerous in the second half, they were lucky to claim a try in the second half.

The willingness to run and roll the dice in the South comes right from kids rugby through to schools, clubs and Super Rugby. It’s what the crowds want and expect and the players deliver.

One thing that is an element of prominence as far as playing rugby at the top levelp is concerned..i believe in confidence is the key... The fiji unit played with confidence and likewise Australia did exactly did the same...

Really don't understand the 6-2 split on bench for Wales, there isn't a solid starting 15 let alone a bench with enough versatility to pull that off ever

The red card works because it was tested in super rugby and used for these very cases like the Radradra one..gets sent off for bad technique..so welfare still in the forefront but the games competitiveness isnt lost..player binned and team down for 20mins but the match still goes on and the card doenst affect the results.

I'm afraid Gatland will have to go. Might not be true but he did create the impression that he was trying to influence some law changes around the scrums and free kicks. This led to a picture of a coach admitting he can't see the talent within his ranks to compete at the highest level under current laws. This would not have encouraged the Welsh boys in terms of confidence and self-belief. I reckon his rants ultimately led to his squad second guessing him as coach. Once your general starts complaining about the rules of engagement you should be worried about following him into war.

We all (North Hem) look so cold and off the pace. So frustrating. We need a world calendar. These tests are not what they can be. Not a sore loser, best teams won! Schedule initial tests with 2nd tier nations so they have a better chance & home nations can get a hit out or two. Ludicrous that after months apart in this side of the world that first tests are amongst top 6/7 teams in the world. Know this sounds like 'sour grapes' but we do want best teams coming head to head without excuses.

After this weekend it has to be said, northern hemisphere have to stop overrating themselves if they want to win. Who backed the all blacks, Fiji and wallabies to win. The English halfback telling Australia not to bother turning up was all the motivation they needed. This is the first time this has happened in recent years. Can you see a pattern here?
