Interestingly, this music was composed and was created during 15th to 16th century, stemming from the Neo-Vaishnavite reformation led by Srimanta Sankardev in Assam all the way back in 15th century. Also, here's the cool thing, the song is actually a hymn, a worship song. Would be really cool if you checked out more of music originating from this era.

This Assamese folk hymn dates back to several centuries. 🥰🥰 And some of the instruments that give away modern hard rock vibes are actually folk instruments. Have you noticed that the guy who is dancing is not just a dancer. He is playing the instrument called 'Kaanh' which you can also see in Papon's hand there.

Brilliant as always, guys. Just one tiny thing - you mentioned something about not understanding Hindi not being a barrier in music. Well, this isn't Hindi; it's Assamese, or Awhomiya (you know, like Spanish is called Español in Spanish). Hindi is essentially the language spoken in the Hindi Belt of the mainland region. Beyond that, it's mostly the lingua franca across a country of over 1700 languages and dialects (122 major & 1599 others).

They are or may be I say were very popular rock base band from Pakistan....They are so popular in Pakistan, India and even in Bangladesh. They were the biggest sensation of late 90' and early 2000'.
