Thanks for the reaction. But I agree with other commenters that watching Forestory gives a better sense of how formidable the competition was. The competition was over several weeks where one got to see each member paired in duets then trips then random quartets before they got together as Forestella. The other 2 quartets- Miraclass and Edel Reinklang are both very good. The competition was intense. Even with knowing the outcome, it was worth seeing. But for me , getting to see the entire picture, showed me why Forestella is the best!!! And continues to be best!!!

La formacion de los cuartetos fue decidido por los productores. En la recta final, cuando ya estaban los 12 finalistas que debian formar los tres cuartetos, les hicieron escribir a cada uno con que otros tres les gustaría formar el grupo, tambien les hicieron entrevistas presonales de las cuales obtuvieron la información de quienes tenian mas afinidad entre si. En el caso de Min-gyu y Woo-rim, trabajaron jusntos desde la etapande duos y Doo-hoon se les sumó en la etapa de trios. En una ultima instacia, donde mezclaron a los 16 que quedaban antes de la selección de finalistas, se formaron cuartetos al azar, y la suerte quiso que Min-gyu trabajara con Hyung-ho, creo que eso último ayudo a terminar de elegir al 4to integrante de Forestella❤

Mi pequeño resumen. Ellos participaron en el programa llamado "Phantom Singer". Tras superar las etapas y misiones se fueron eligiendo a los finalistas, quiénes perdian las misiones quedaban candidatos a la eliminación. En primera instancia quedaron 32 participantes, entre ellos nuestros chicos, Min-gyu (MG) y Hyung-ho (HH) lograron pasar en las audiciones preliminares y Woo-rim (WR) y Doo-hoon (DH) con pases adicionales. La primera misión fueron batallas 1 vs 1, tanto MG, HH y DH ganaron sus batallas, pero no WR que quedó candidato para la eliminación, pero por suerte los productores eliminaron a otros 4, quedando 28 participantes. La 2da Mision era dúo vs dúo; fue allí cuando MG, decidido a salvarlo, le pidió a WR a cantar con él, y se enfrentaron nada más y nada menos que a DH y su compañero (Julian Kim, de Miraclasse) ganaron MG y WR. El dúo de HH también falló. Luego se eliminaron otros 4 y llega la misión 3: trios. En este caso, los dúos ganadores eligen al tercer integrante, MG y WR (en especial Min-gyu que era quien planeaba las estrategias) eligen a DH, mientras que a HH lo eligen otro dúo. En esa etapa el trío en el que estaba HH pierde (por puntos) quedando candidatos a la eliminación, y el trío de nuestros chicos ganan. Para la 4ta Misión, los ganadores eligen a su último integrante para formar el cuarteto; a HH lo elige un trío ganador, y MG, WR y DH eligen a Sime, un participante croata. Después de esta etapa, se eliminan a otros 4 quedando así 16 participantes. La última antes de la elección de los finalistas es la de cuartetos aleatorios, se formaban sacando bolas con un color, en este caso MG, WR y DH quedaron separados, pero MG y HH quedaron juntos con otros dos participantes. El cuarteto ganador de esa misión fue el que integraba WR pasando directamente a la final (no como equipo, eso se decidiría despues) luego se eligieron a los otros ocho finalistas, entre ellos MG, HH y DH. Para la formación final de cada cuarteto, cada participante debían escribir en una hoja con quiénes les gustaría formar el cuarteto y luego una entrevista con los productores que basándose en esa información y la química de los participantes a lo largo del programa, fueron quiénes decidieron la formación de cada cuarteto. Y así fue como quedaron juntos nuestros chicos. Ya formados se realizaron las últimas misiones, resultando ganadores con la votación de productores y público.

You’ve clearly watched at least some of the bits of the show before this, but this wasn’t explained before. Before they are assigned their rooms they go into voting booths and vote for who they wanted to be teamed with, then they were interviewed by the producers, who then assigned them to teams. They are called out of the waiting room one by one and pick up their card and go to the corresponding room. They don’t know who is coming, but they know who they want. If they don’t get who they wanted, they have to play it up like they wanted them anyway… because TV. LOL However, I am pretty sure that Mingyu got his dream team. Mingyu majored in Vocal music at the same school that Woorim did (they both have Master’s degrees). In the last two episodes each of the three final teams performed two songs per episode, with the final episode being live and had open voting. I don’t think JTBC has allowed them anywhere on KZbin, but I can get you a link to watch the whole episodes. ;)

Before the door choosing part, contestants were asked to write the three members names they wanted to be in the same team with and they were also interviewed by the judges about their decisions. Then the judges decided who gets to be on the same teams. I believe Forestella were the only ones who wrote each others' names on the paper.

Broadcasting is sometimes… .It may not be 100% true and therefore it is not recommended to guess or imagine facts based on this. We must be wary of this.😆
