It was confirmed by the director that the concept they went with is of Taeyeon as Artemis, and the whole story of her brother Apollo disapproving her relationship with Orion, a hunter, which fits in with what she says “I can’t love you, even though I do”. In the story, Apollo kills Orion and Artemis turns him into a constellation! Thank you for the lovely reaction 💗✨

This is my favorite soloist Taeyeon Era, the maturity she’s showing just gives me goosebumps and I can’t wait to see and hear what she’ll do next. Yup, I agree with you. Recently, indeed the Music Video direction is going to cinema-like experiences with the amplification of the Sound Technology in recent years, especially in Kpop Industry. One of my important observations is SM Entertainment specifically implemented that way earlier, with the incorporation of Culture Technology (CT) to New Culture Technology (NCT) to the most recent SM Culture Universe (SMCU). SM from the beginning always incorporated work in a unified whole, not separately. Even because it is famous, SM created its own genre of 'music' called SM Music Performance (SMP) which presents a performance in a unified work, including Music Video. The latest update from SMP in the video genre is CAWMAN (Cartoon, Animation, Webtoon, Motion graphic, Avatar, Novel). It's a new mixed video genre to express SMCU. Just look at the MVs (+ SMCU Worldview Video) produced by SM, for sure we can see what happens in the MV from listening to the song 😁

Taeyeon does an amazing thing for her concerts she spreads parfume through the whole place cuz when u smell a familiar scent it's easier to get into the vision of what happened when u smelled it beforehand and now she made a parfume for the album since corona happened and concerts are not the same nowadays

I definitely got the same vibe from Taemin's Criminal that you did, thank you! Definitely struck the creative maturity chord, and had introspective lyrics centering around self-induced emotional pain. Your reactions and discussions are so well considered, and I appreciate how you talked about visual language and sound aligning, along with the elevation of both the music and video by pairing them together. This (as well as Taemin's Criminal) are fast favorites of mine-- they have a healing impact with all those atmospheres and the chromatic layering/harmonizing. I'm not a subscriber, but I've watched ( and always 'liked') your SNSD reactions not just because of SNSD but because you always talk in detail with knowledge, experience and appreciation about so many aspects of both production and performance. Though the concept for this video is based on the Greek mythology of Artemis, I see many visual and tonal similarities between this and another SNSD artist in Tiffany Young's 'Magnetic Moon'. I don't think you've reacted to Tiffany's solo work yet, so if that's the case, I think there's a fortuitous connection between Tiffany's Magnetic Moon and Taeyon's INVU that provides a convenient 'excuse' to explore the solo efforts of Taeyon's 'bestie'.
