I walk every morning now for 20 minutes. It really helps my depression. Along with weekly therapy and antidepressants, I am working hard to get well. I make time for my walks every day before I go to work. I used to sleep so much, but now I force myself out of bed to get out there in the Arizona sunshine. I loved this sooo much, Chris!!! Thanks for the inspiration. I admire you so much.

I hope you get to a place that you can give yourself more credit for the inner work you’re doing; you’ve very much become a teacher, even more than a communicator. But, I do hope you can learn to be as kind to yourself as you try to be to other people. You are a blessing, Mr. C.

Regarding sugar, I was overweight most of my life due to a sugar addiction. Once I heard that sugar feeds cancer cells I made up my mind to give it up. Within a month or two my cravings stopped and when I did have a dessert at a dinner party, it tasted too sweet and I couldn’t finish it! I think my taste buds changed. Bottom line, I lost so much weight that my Dr. said I am too thin! Now I have to figure out how to gain weight, but it won’t include sugar! Enjoyed your walk and your new Channel. It’s so refreshing to hear your own thoughts without wondering if you are being told what you can or can’t say. Your humility is truly endearing. Take care & God bless.

I haven’t seen you since you left CNN and I’m so glad this was suggested to me. That’s a win for the KZbin algorithm!👏😂 These are difficult truths to remember and accept, but stating them out loud, as you are doing, makes it easier and strengthens your resolve. I’m also going to resolve to improve on implementing these truths in my own life. I appreciate you sharing this stream of consciousness with us 🙂. I really appreciate the optimism of what you discuss here, along with the integrity that’s on clear display. Thank you! Looking forward to episode two!

A lot to take in and digest. Gonna have to watch it several more times. Love the instruction/reminder to focus on oneself and assess, evaluate rather than judging others. There is very little growth and elevating one's self in tearing down others and gives us a false sense of "Im doing Ok". Also takes a boat load of energy to judge other (at least for we introverts). Thanks for taking the time to share with us. Of being open, honest, making us laugh at our own humanity etc. Grateful

I am so happy to have you back!! I live in Los Angeles and I don’t drive and take the bus every where. When I’m early and usually always are I get off the bus way before my stop and walk the rest of the way. I listen to my pandora and walk. I was born in 1980 and I’m so happy social media wasn’t a thing when I was a teen. About 5 years ago I was comparing my life to my friends on Facebook. I realized it wasn’t healthy and one day just canceled my account without telling my friends. One of them (my best longest friend we’ve known each other since we were 16) talked me back onto joining fb. It was a few years of her talking to me and I did eventually give in and signed back on - on my terms. I’m keeping my friend count down and mostly following groups that would bring a smile to my face. Thank you again for making these videos.

Good talk Chris.....I've been enjoying your conversations with self. Very insightful thought process analysis. Stoicism particularly resonated. I was reminded of a time I endured 12 consecutive foot surgeries within a span of 2 months, from a surgeon's mistake .....knowing I would never be the same athletic person afterwards. Lots of sympathetic family and friends were all lamenting the loss of my former mobility and the unending questions of " how are you doing, aren't you angry blah, blah blah". of course the pain was excruciating and of course initially I was angry. Weaning myself off the powerful pain killing medication was indeed a challenge in and of itself...redirecting the anger of the predicament into a positive force to overcome the lack of mobility. Many acquaintances were curious as to why my attitude and outlook was focused to a brighter side.....Well back to the subject of Stoicism .....to focus on the things we can control, our thoughts, emotions, and actions, while accepting the things we cannot. To accept ones good fortune while knowing that there are many that suffer more.

Greetings....from the Western North Carolina Mountains.....! Walk & Talk..... how did you know, that I just started doing some walking, and talking out loud.... to the universe. Been walking around in the mountains ( all I have to do is walk out the kitchen door.....and there I am). So what does it really mean ? I even find myself walking outside at night.... I want to thank you so much for sharing yourself.....and your journey. I also really like the way that you have taken on some of your brother's cool ways of writing out / listing key points of what you're talking about. I look forward to hearing your voice.......

I began a walking regimen on Easter Sunday 2021; I stand 6'4" and at that time clocked in on the toledos at 344lbs. Walking was hard and my knees hurt but I sleeved them and kept walking. At first, walking a mile was nearly impossible but over time I was able to increase my daily distance. I am still walking daily, now I do 19 minute miles and take two walks; one 3 mile walk in the morning and one 1 mile walk after dinner; today I clocked in at 285. I do try to watch my food intake but I credit weight loss and better sleep schedule and a calming of the mind to walking.

Stillness Is the Key is also available in my country and I am so glad that you gave me a new idea of English book reading. Also I really love how educational are these videos, full of meaning and essence. This is why social media is important - to spread the good all over the world, it is a communication tool, if used negatively it becomes a toxic weapon. A great place to start is with yourself! Could not agree more! Walking outside in nature if possible is the best therapy ever.

Chris. I am a stress eater and wanted to share a 'hack' that i discovered to restore the vitamins we blow through. I realize the flavor is not for everyone, but nutritional yeast (important: Nutritional Yeast Flakes; one tablespoon @ a time to the roof of mouth to consume slowly. Can use celery juice chaser.) loads us up with B vitamins and minerals and I swear it takes the edge off my stress eating so I can manage it better. The other thing that helps me are green drinks. I know you support a veggie concentrate product that I look forward to trying. All the best. Keep going. Can I just add, the intro music is a little sharp for me. Just sayin'. I love everything else.

Chris! I found your second Walk and Talk first. I absolutely love it. You are coming from a place of love when you speak. Talking about mental health is golden to me. The stigma is you are crazy if you need a psychiatrist or psychologist. Sometimes you need an unbiased person to talk to so you can be totally real and NOT be judged for how you are thinking. I'm looking for a good therapist now. As Iyala Vanzant says, "Do the work." And what Chris Cuomo says " "Let's get after it." Thanks Chris!! And Welcome Back!!!!

Thank you Chris I listened to this several times and thank you for your insight. I loved all that you had to say, and I can relate. I have learned to block out people who are confrontational for my own self worth. Life is too short to have have others try to take you down or come at you. Way too many nice people in real life to surround yourself with. I am a good person and I know my worth. Not going to argue other's tweets or social media platforms. I stay in my own lane and I believe in the word respect. I give it and I expect it.

Watched a second time uninterrupted and you articulated something I am currently dealing with; with a very online, recently "woke" family member right now. The judging and attacking people (unfoundedly in my case) is a misplaced sense of empowerment and projection of their own insecurities like you said. Also, I'm glad I'm not the only one who has conversations with myself, including sometimes out loud lol.

It's an opportunity for clarity and choosing in your life. And the take personal responsibility conversation is where it's at. Instead of always reacting to what the world throws at you. Stop pause what does it really mean if there's value there great use it to make yourself grow. If not then just let it go without judgment. That's were the peace and freedom are.

This is great! Authentic, great subject matter - the human condition in this modern crazy time. So simple, yet creative. Love what you’re putting out there. Thanks Chris!

Chris Cuomo's food for thought? Thanks. Your "walk and talk" get's me to think. Or rather, redirects my thinking and questioning first and foremost to myself. As you say.., it's easy to say, not to do. But, isn't square one is where the gold begins? Yup.

Chris, can you tell me who’s taking the video of you when you walk. I am 69 years old and I walk 3 miles two or three times a day. When I walk I listen to your Walk and Talk podcast every day. They have helped me out so much. You’re totally awesome and thank you for using your self as the example❤

OMG I love this Chris. Thank you to you and your amazing team for brining realness to your audience. This is a fantastic change from social media. I laughed when you spoke about eating sweets because I have been doing the same thing last week and I also do not like to eat sweets but there I was eating sweets so of course I totally agree with you about if you gonna eat you got to do the work to help our bodies. So I've been getting up earlier to go run for stimulation and it actually makes me feel good afterwards. With all that said, thank you and please continue to keep it real. I love your realness! I want to order a couple of free agent t-shirts please. Can I get the link to see your merchandise?

Objective discernment vs. judgement. One opens self up to better decisions, the other blinds self from the same. I'm so happy and relieved that you are back, Chris.

Chris, I call these episodes Chris’s Self Evaluation Stroll. Walking is calming especially during foliage time. The colors of nature are healthy for the mind. The increase in oxygen transfer to the bloodstream is elevated.
