Walk around 1987 MERCEDES BENZ 190E RENNTECH 3.4-24V young timer

Finally got this car sorted.new wheels and tires.Fully detailed,tint ,new floor mattes new shift knob,Renntech badging painted grill shell.

I live in England and had a 190E with a Brabus kit and alloys in jet black very similar to yours. Unfortunately it had the standard 2.0i engine but it looked incredible. I bought the car from a proper Mercedes dealership in 1991 and kept her for five years before trading it in for a TVR 400SE. The guy who sold me the TVR actually bought my Mercedes through the trade in but after six months of owning the 190E he and his wife was involved in a serious car crash. They were coming back form Silverstone where someone crashed into the back of the Mercedes spun the car around and got hit front end on by another car. The crash investigation team said at that time if you were driving a Ford or Vauxhall it would have been fatal. It just goes to show how well made these 190's are. I was glad they were ok and not hurt by the crash but wished i never sold the car and kept it. As time has gone on i would have liked to have done a proper upgrade with the engine and gearbox. The TVR was to problematic and never lived up to what i expected but that's life, just wished i had a crystal ball. By the way your car is stunning!

Is this similar to 3314 cc AMG engine? That has 91,5 x 84 mm bore and stroke.

A while ago i found the correct specs, 92 x 84 mm bore and stroke, making 3350 cc displacement.

Id like to find a well sorted 190e 2.6, but most seem so ragged out and past the point worth restoring them to Daily Drive status. Quite annoying.

Aspra I have a 1993 190e Sport Line with a 2.6 liter inline 6. Not ragged out but could use a paint job and maybe a new exhaust. It's been in my parents garage for 16 years. If you're ever interested, the car is still here. I inherited the house as well as the 190e. It was always serviced at Mercedes Benz of Melbourne Florida and Orlando. PM me if interested.
