WALK-AROUND: DETOMASO P72 MAKES ITS CANADIAN PREMIERE

Welcome back to Grand Touring Autos as we join them on the Canadian debut and premiere of the DeTomaso P72. The vehicle we see here is 1 of 72 models that will be produced this one in particular finished in Viola Jacaranda.
Join us as we explore in depth and in detail with the vehicle that pays tribute and homage to the early heritage of DeTomaso. The P72 is a vehicle that celebrates 60 years of DeTomaso paying tribute to the P70 Sports car. Dubbed “A Modern Day Time Machine” this vehicle portrays the classic retro racecar with a modern and timeless elegance.
A massive congratulations to Grand Touring in being the first and official distributor of the brand in all of Canada and we look forward to the journey between DeTomaso and Grand Touring.

They never even mentioned the engine in this vehicle. It originally was the V12 but the production model turn out to be a V8. A true automobile enthusiast of this type of vehicle would be interested in the mechanics as well as it looks, I don't care what the kid from Di Tomaso has to say about it, it's a performance car and performance matters. If it were only a styling exercise you wouldn't even bother with an engine but it is a running vehicle and people are interested in the performance. No matter how much money you got you want to know how fast it goes. It seems the guy is even ashamed to mention that it gets a styling cue from the Ferrari P3 race car of the 70s. Truly one of the most beautiful cars in history. The DeTomaso p72 is one of the most beautiful cars ever built but it is also a piece of machinery and that should be part of the allure. The presenter of this video acts like he never saw a car before or has no knowledge of History . I oncet drove a De Tomaso Pantera when they where new and found it very exciting to drive as well as a look at. I also raced against a DeTomaso Mongusta at Daytona in the '70s.

Great Video! Shout outs to the camera man/showing us the car while they talked. Too many channels have the presenters static blocking the car. Drives me nuts and it's sometimes unwatchable. Thank you for letting us appreciate the design.

This car is developed and made in Germany by HWA AH (AMG spinoff, have you ever heard of AMG?) and Capricorn (Formula 1, WEC, World Rally Championship, World Touring Car Championship, Rally Dakar, NASCAR, GP2, GP3 S, MotoGP, Moto2, Moto3). So in conclusion, stop talking if you know nothing :)
