Sorry, but until all the bugs are worked out, I'll stick to my bourdon tube analog manifold gauge set. Rarely do they go outta calibration unless you drop them, keep the hoses outta the dirt, and use a good temp probe to measure superheat and sub-cooling. Can't go wrong with the old stuff, they still work and don't have connection problems, more reliable. Also, they don't have batteries that die out.
@NorCal-refrigeration5 жыл бұрын
I use my analogs everyday.

just like every other electronic device on the market, buggy mess hardware, firmware, software and dealing with multiple other vendors for things to function. nothing but a huge of rolling headache of updates, exploits and issues. it's not just a "FieldPiece" by far, I see it with everything, from $0.01 chinesium devices to $300k+ devices.

I’ve been spending so much time trying to get mine to work correctly constantly emailing and making phone calls with software glitches they had me do all the updates still occasionally have to turn off the app and re-Boudet app while I’m in the middle of the job trying to take recordings waste of time they told me some updates were coming out in a couple weeks tried using two different phones with two different phone carriers so that’s definitely not the issue in San Francisco and the bay area with lots of cell phone reception so that’s not the issue. Got their invoicing that sucks that’s barely any invoicing program I’ve been using QuickBooks have use Microsoft bookkeeping and I’ve use salesforce cloud-based for invoicing the field piece invoicing really clunky not into a tiff have to make too many steps bouncing around looking for things constantly freezes up crashes has a hard time but they do say they have software update coming in several weeks. Definitely was not ready to be released to the public I highly do not recommend getting the invoicing software you cannot migrate all your customers information into Fieldpiece so you have to manually enter all your customers I have over 1200 customers “HELL NO!.” Every other invoice in your bookkeeping software at a fraction of the price does that simple task for you. If you are using one of the other invoicing cloud-based software is peach tree QuickBooks salesforce you can download all your supplies and equipment that you spent years accumulating hundreds of hours of data input between them with the Fieldpiece you cannot you have to start all over again from scratch in this day and age that’s not acceptable. As for the probes they are first-generation they have good potential I’m trying to use them every day just for the data logging to send to the customer and keep with the invoicing for record-keeping I’ll try them with the Quick app from Jim Bergman.

t lech the measure quick app is nice. I use tiny invoice app for billing works great.
@coldfinger459sub06 жыл бұрын
Nor-Cal Refrigeration & H.V.A.C But have you ever used a fully integrated accounting software version of an invoicing. For somebody who never had an invoicing app it’s the closest thing to you can say a piece of paper invoice very simple but it does have too many procedures for jumping back-and-forth between screens. But if you’ve never used an invoicing out it might seem great just like somebody who’s only eaten dirt and leaves and twigs for their whole life and then introduced to a full course McDonald’s meal and think that’s the greatest thing on earth that’s about the best analogy I can come up with. For me it was a step backwards to the caveman days when you were in high school 35 years ago or junior college just learning your first spreadsheet and how to do micro cells and write your own accounting or invoicing program it was very archaic coming from a C grade student. Using a real invoicing app from one of the big major players is like driving around in your S class Mercedes Benz or Tesla your whole life and then someone throws you into a 1969 Datsun pick up and Company that throws you in it tells you this is a great pick up, this is what you have and this is what you’re going to use. just downloaded the measure quick app five minutes ago I’ll give that a try going out to a job right now
@coldfinger459sub06 жыл бұрын
QuickBooks online invoicing no comparison to the field piece app even keep track of all your tax write off‘s for tools gas maintenance supplies work uniforms insurance everything for your taxes at the end of the year for right offs can be tracked you can send the file to your bookkeeper or your accountant or CPA and all your work was done for you while you were on the job no paperwork at the end of the day. It was only $12 when I got it a month I think they’re having a $10 a month three month trial sale and a regular prices went up to $20 but that’s a full blown multi million dollar corporate backed bookkeeping application to run a business and invoicing is only a small part of it and you get it at a fraction of the price and it’s actually reliable And easy to use with 100 more features for invoicing then the Fieldpiece invoicing app
