Walk the oldest market in Ohio - West Side Market in Cleveland, Ohio USA

With origins of the land dating back to 1840 the West Side Market is Cleveland's oldest publicly owned market. Its 137 foot clock tower has stood as a Cleveland landmark for over a century. The market is home to over 100 vendors which reflect Cleveland's range of ethnic diversity. Last year it's estimated that over a million people visited the market. The West Side Market continues to be an interesting and historical Cleveland tradition.

I visited this market 20 years ago (or so) and the character remains the same. Good choice for a half day trip when in Cleveland
