It's truly bizzare to come back to this 2 years later. When this was posted my now ex and I watched this over the pandemic. Now I'm here from Alaska and ride this street to work every day.

It’s very sleepy and quiet. The architecture is well kept. Some buildings are over 100 years old.

Wow it was a ghost town during lockdown! This was great to watch, there have been a few changes - projects finished & new ones started etc, but other than that, Ipswich still pretty much looks the same. I particularly like what has been done with the Nicholas Street Precinct (which was still underway in this footage), it's such a lovely area now.

@@Walk4KToday It would definitely be a fantastic contribution to the ongoing "then & now" archive 👍 According to the Ipswich City Council, 2024 will see some exciting finished projects, including the new Hoyts Cinema Complex & the refurbishment of the Commonwealth Hotel aka Murphy's Pub. Plus apparently there is a whole score of new businesses about to open up in the Nicholas Street Precinct & Tulmur Place 👏😄
