I got the Master CP chopper with the devo 7. Problem was that all the instructions were for the devo 7e. This video told me exactly what I needed to know. You are the man, next crash will be in your honor.... haha

Alright now these two videos you made were really helpful and educational for me. I was looking for help with this Devo 7 I didn't have a clue what to do with all those switches. Now I can also understand better about the curves and learned a neat little trick: the D/R and EXP.. I'm upgrading from a fixed pitch, it's my first CP. Thanks a lot.

I'm in the same position you're in.. I just got my CP, and I am all over the place. It's a very confusing rc heli. Have you found configurations yet? For some reason my mini walkera doesn't hover, it moves to the left instead, and this is driving me crazy
@PaulodeMelo11 жыл бұрын
mufoit Hi. It's really confusing. Well I tried searching the web and what I found is that most people tell beginners to start with a gradual/linear pitch and throttle curves. I found that for me what is working well is setting the throttle to 0 80 80 80 80% and pitch to 40 45 50 70 80% or something like that, so in this case we are only controlling the pitch, makes it a lot easier to control the heli. Your Walkera going left might be a trimming issue? Apparently hovering is supposed to be a very difficult thing that requires hours on days long of practice to be able to do a decent hover.

Paulo de Melo Actually, I reset all of the models, and now my TX wouldn't simply connect to the RX!!! I am about to lose hope and just forget about this none sense.. I have been trying to bind TX with RX without any success

Thanks. You just may have helped me. I have been totally confused with my Devo 7. New am I to the world of computer controlled radios. Have been running nitro and weedwacker boats for years and got bored. Have flown a 4 chanel indoor heli over the winter and figured to attempt a larger scale. Gonna put what you have taught me to use. Maybe I can this this master CP off the ground

Thanks so much for taking the time to do this... obviously I'm new - about 5 mos flying cp's... absolutely loving it!! Can you explain more about the Aux 2 dial and how that works and what it's for??
@dilbertoheli11 жыл бұрын
If it's the tx, your best bet would be to raise the gyro gain. If your gyro's set too low your tail will spin (gyro on the tx is only for tail gyro, not flybarless gyros). You can set your gyro % in the tx menus. However, if you messed with changing your output like i had, and you made your gyro gain the aux 2 knob, then try turning the aux 2 knob up to around 75%. If that doesn't work then your tail motor may be out,or the propeller is loose. fyi, U can also find good info on the rcgroups forum

As a beginner, this was enormously helpful! Thank you very much!

I hear ya! sometimes it just takes somebody explaining these encrypted menus in plain engish once for it to make a little bit of sense.... That was kind of my goal for this video cause this tx took me some time to figure out so i was hoping i could spare some others the trouble. Thanks for the feedback!

I'm not sure that I completely understand your question, but if you set up the switch, the switch should take care of the dr and exp. However, if you are new to cp helis, I would like to suggest that you use only one setting to start with. An exp of +30 is not too high and probably a good place to start, so you may just want to set up normal mode with only that until you get more comfortable with it. Cp helis are much much more twitchy than the 4ch ones and a little exp helps imo.

Hello Dilbert, I'm new in RC and I'm now trying to equip my brand new FPV quad racer with a piezo buzzer, that I plugged into AUX2 pins on the RX. It's supposed to beep when it receives some power between 4.8v and 6v. I've got a Devo7 but it's really a mess for me ... I'd like to configure any switch (the HOLD/TRN would be the best, or the D/R one) to make it work, but I can't find out how to assign this simple fonction (0=0v / 1=6v) to a specific knob and than assign this specific knob to the AUX2 channel. Can you help me, as it's not very obvious, even after I've seen your videos at least 2 times each ?

hello my friend , my devo7 is on the way with 450d03 , im new to cps and i have a question , i wanna fly normal mode and i want my setings to be :1) normal mode dr switch to 0 = 100 % travel dr 100 , exp 0 and dr switch to 1 = dr 100 and exp +30 , for this settings i will only have to setup the dr switch position and not activate dr and xp on normal mode? or i have to also activate dr and exp on normal mode settings?

Thanks for posting this comprehensive video. I know it's not much of an issue with your Mini CP but do you have any idea what kind of range I can expect with this system?
@dilbertoheli11 жыл бұрын
From what i've seen from my other walkera tx that I use with my trex 450, the range is way more than enough. I have flown to where i could hardly see that helicopter...

HOW CAN I CONFIG OUTPUT POWER IN MY DEVO7. THE DEVO'S RANGE IS VERY SHORT. I measured, just 150 mt approximately SOMEONE HELPS ME. Thanks
@dilbertoheli11 жыл бұрын
Hey, hope this is working better for you by now, I only just got notified of your message, the wonderful new youtube.... It sounds like something is wrong with your transmitter because the range should be a lot farther than that, and this isn't really configurable in the menus. I'm not sure how comfortable you are with taking off the back and making sure the antenna wire is properly attached to the board? Or if you are Very electronically inclined, there is probably a potentiometer that controls the power to the antenna. Even when my battery is almost dead, I still get good range, so it sounds like something might be up there with the hardware.
@dilbertoheli11 жыл бұрын
good deal! And take it easy with trying to fly around, slowly advance cause they can get out of control very easily (don't ask me how i know.....)
