Bravo, government is serving the people and being environmental conscious! How lovely people are still be able to cheer when new line is added to the established system. Well designed stations and enough space too! The loud alarm sound when closing train doors could be changed to a nice chirping sound (crickets) and ppl still would be carefull. Thanks for english subtitle. I love trains, never been to China, maybe i can afford to visit one day!

As someone living in Canada, this is so envious. 只能羡慕. 加国一百年也追不上.
Wow another extension already! I can't wait to go back to Guangzhou to see how it is!

I think an extra improvement to these videos would be to show the outside setting of major new stations. 很棒!

Does anyone know which extension of the GZ metro will open next?
@hobog2 жыл бұрын
this rate of metro extension for one (or double, counting Foshan) network is awesome, multiple extensions per year! The ones in GZ-Foshan are in high demand too, not too overbuilt like some other PRC infra

There should be no new lines opened or extended in Guangzhou and Foshan this year. A batch of new lines may be opened or extended in 2023, if they are completed on time.

There are lot's of constructions going on now. Here are some estimates but may differ from the real situation: Lines scheduled to opened in 2022: Line 22 phase one (Panyu Square ~ Chentougang) Line 7 West Extension (Guangzhou South Railway Station ~ Meidi Dadao) Foshan Line 3 Phase one (Shunde Polytechnic ~ Shun' an) Lines scheduled to opened in 2023: Line 3 East Extension (Panyu Square ~ Haibang) Line 5 East Extension (Wenchong ~ Huangpu Passenger Port) Line 7 Phase two (Higher Education Mega Center South ~ Shuixibei) Lines scheduled to opened in 2024: Line 10: (Just a portion, maybe Xilang ~ Donghu/Guangzhou Avenue Central) Line 11: (Just a portion, maybe the east loop (Yuntai Garden ~ YIjing Lu) Line 12: (Just a portion, perhaps separate into two sections) Line 13 Phase two: (Just a portion, perhaps separate into two sections) Line 14 phase two: (Jiahe Wanggang ~ Guangzhou Railway Station)

Why are the new stations negatively numbered? Couldn't they have just changed the numbers of the old stations?
@easybagsminecraftworld38772 жыл бұрын
You are right. Around 6 years ago when GZ Metro introduced this naming system, someone pointed out that this “lazy” company may be “too lazy” to change existing numbers or reserve blank numbers. I hope in late 2023 when this line extend towards east they will change all the numbers.

@@walkforyou6047 I remember online text fields in the PRC are very inflexible with number or hanzi or latin letter inputs. Needing a "-" can be a real complication. I don't know any other station network that uses negative numbers
@samzheng24332 жыл бұрын
Apparently it was something to do with the fact that they didn't want to change the old numbers as to not confuse regular commuters who remember their station by number - why this only happened for this line I'm not sure.
