Love the commentary and mini history lessons during the walk. In an era of over-editing on KZbin, I loved this peaceful video.

Lots of Showa vibe in the vlog. Love it. Sadly those places are disappearing fast.

They really are and it’s quite sad. My hope is to see as much of it as I can before it completely disappears.

Thank you again for taking us on a walk through parts of the city that were unknown (even to you?). In addition to my eyes, my ears also accompany you between all the original sounds. We walk through remarkable areas where, on the one hand, there is a lot going on, but there are also smaller shops that may be in danger of extinction. A fact of urban life around the world. Often sad, but unfortunately true. Something acoustic made me smile: did I understand that correctly? Because around 9:07 I seemed to hear 'Mama' several times, and that word sounds the same in many languages, including mine ;-). 13:37 - I like how you caught him, and he obviously caught you too, but he's looking a bit serious (visible just before at 13:35 in the video) ;-). 15:56 - a great black-and-white-photo with the many lines/diagonals/verticals and horizontals, the very nice lighting conditions and the tram in the middle. And I like the part from about 20:14 to almost 20:40 where it looks like you're a giant in the late sunlight of the day, chasing your own shadow so you can use the light for the final photos. And little by little you get out of breath. Oh - I hope I expressed that correctly in English. Kind regards - Monika

As always, thank you, Monika 🙃 This walk did indeed take me through a lot of older areas, much of which were in the process of getting demolished or rebuilt. And you’re right! There was indeed a young child crying out Mama several times. They use the same in Japanese as we do in so many other languages! Anyway, I’m glad you enjoyed tagging along. Have a great weekend 😁

@@jamesford_jp I didn’t know the term “tagging along” before. But I am tireless in learning from what I see and read.☺
