Walking in between sets has many benefits that people don't even consider. From losing more fat in a cutting phase to preventing fat gain during the off-season, benefits are plenty. On top of that, it doesn't even cost you extra time!

I always walk between sets because it helps me with my breathing, rest and helps with total steps counts for that day, I found that if I sat down between sets I got bored and tired so walking helps with focus

I usually like to move around between sets anyway, unless it's leg curls and I need to let the lactate dissipate. Never understand people who sit in the leg press between sets. I'm really trying to remember to walk around at work anytime I'm waiting around for some process to play out. Kind of like enhanced NEAT.

Thank you so much for the video and I 100% agree with everything you've said while explaining the reasoning behind your information. I weight train 5 days a week and strive for at least 12000 steps 7 days a week. Implementing steps in between sets of lifting in a little over an hour during the week gets me about 6500 steps already for the day when I step out of the gym first thing in the morning. Burning fat with low impact steady state cardio and building muscle at the same time, without restricting calories, is the perfect storm for fitness!

In U.K. as soon as you get off a machine, bench etc, someone jumps on. Even if you leave a gym towel or drink on it, they simply Chuck it on the floor. You lose your equipment every time! Sadly no gym etiquette or manners in U.K. gyms. Selfish members with headphones …so no communication either. It sucks. 🇬🇧

I used to work 10/12 hours a day during almost 7 years when I lived in the Uk, jusf before the plandemic, and I would get an average of 15 km (10 miles) of walking a day, due to the nature of the job. I would go to the gym before, doing supersets to maximize pump, blood flow, time, and cardio, since I would go from one machine/barbell to the other, so that was my walking in between sets and indirect resting time. I was in the best shape of my life, quite shredded and muscular. I would sleep 9 hours a day, always. On weekends 10/11 hours, to recover. No alcohol, no smoke, no drugs. There is never to much walking, it is the best form of cardio. Walk and climb steps, either in a machine in the gym or walking around the city.

Sitting on my ass just feels wrong when in the gym, I want to keep myself active. It also helps keeping my muscles warm in between sets that require big rest (3+minutes). The only times I feel I need to stay in one place is after an AMRAP Deadlift set.
