I enter my reps in my phone app and watch the rest timer countdown to zero. 100% focus on my whole workout, including the rest time.

@@parklife101 The app is called Jefit. It's very customisable for the individual exercises and workouts, as well as a great way to track progress. Highly recommended.

Same but what I think I'll do is to just turn off my Internet so I don't go on social media and focus more on resting.

I do the water fountain thing.. sometimes it's just rest and recovery.. if I am on my phone it's only to change music or track the workout. I'm dedicated to the process.

You can superset with unrelated bodyparts for increased excersize efficiency in terms of time but it requires a high level of cardiovasular endurance to have the muscle fatique be the limiting factor but it definately can work well. example superset of pushups and pullups can cut a workout time in half in terms of rest and since you alternate the muscle groups you have enough time to recover the muscle in between the movements with minimal rest times.

Biggest gym pet peeve: someone taking up a machine but they’re sitting there on their phone.

The heavier you go the more you might need to rest. So advanced lifters might need to use 1 machine longer than a beginner.

I don't have time between sets usually. Normally I do circuits. I'll do some facepulls to compliment bench or chinups/dips to decompress from squats or deadlifts. If I'm doing accessory stuff, it'll usually be 4 exercises, 2 per muscle group, and I stagger them to avoid hitting the same one trice in a row.

I bet you've change your workout till now because this is not ideal and you probably found that pretty soon.

@@DannyValchev My programming is still similar. Full body split now instead of upper lower, so more big compounds, less accessories, alternating antagonistic exercises.
@DannyValchev
@DannyValchev Жыл бұрын
@@limitisillusion7I've heard recently that alternating between antagonistic exercises help you to grind a few more reps but you need to take two machines in the gym in the same that and that can be difficult. Do you atleast rest after a antagonistic set?

@@DannyValchev I rest enough to catch my breath if it's relevant.
@DannyValchev
@DannyValchev Жыл бұрын
@@limitisillusion7 it not bad workout but it focuses more on endurance and it will keep you fit and burning more calories but it's not even close to the muscle that you'll build with proper one. But to each their own.

I try to put my palms up against something metal to cool my internal body temperature. The skin on your palms, soles of your feet and face has a different arrangement of blood vessels (AVAs) that allows for more efficient heat transfer. Your body throttles your muscle performance based on overheating both at the muscle site (heat inhibits ATP production) and systemically through the increased heart rate that heat causes.
