Growing up in bayside, I took it for granted. Never really realized how beautiful of a neighborhood it is until I moved to a different state.

Hey AK,your videos are great....you put the viewer in a position as if they are walking through themselves in these areas...that's what makes your vids interesting and fun to watch... sometimes if one puts their mind to it,you can smell the grass and feel the cool breeze as they walk through.... especially with the restaurants ....sort of like virtual reality... keep up the good work,Kid!!!!..190k here we come!!!!!!!!

I think this is one of the prettiest walks you've done, AK. All the homes there in Bayside Hills are gorgeous and Oakland Lake is amazing! Great video...

Thanks for this video. Lived in Bayside Hills for 25 years but that was 20 years ago. My kids all went to Cardozo. Live in the city now but always loved living there. It was before it was Korea town.

Hey AK, your videos are both entertaining and most educational..I'm a native Brooklynite ,and I must say,I've learned more about the New York area (boroughs mainly),by watching your vlogs than I have through any other medium.... keep up the good work and sooner than you think, your sub number will jump to 190 k ,faster than you can say Action Kid!!!..the mighty geographical crusader!!!!🏙️🏙️🌃

I can still remember that as a grade school kid, I with my family lived in Briarwood, near P.S. 117 ( which I briefly attended ) zip 11435. To be sure, it's as densely populated as many parts of the city. But it's to this day, still a pleasant part of the City to make a home in. But this video presents an entirely different facet of the City that is seemingly more suburban - particularly, Bayside Hills. And yet another surprise to me was that the average property tax bill for Queens is remarkably lower than for the city I live in now - Hampton, VA. Hampton, 1.24% compared to Queens .88%. That's a remarkable difference and a total surprise. A 1/2 million dollar home in Queens would be assessed at a value that's $2000.00 LESS than in Hampton, VA! I could almost be seduced to come back to New York if the numbers, geography and the environment were in alignment. And yet another surprise was to see folks in shorts and shirtsleeves in early Autumn. Although the memories are somewhat faded, it seems as though I recall a few cool mornings walking to P.S.117 during late September. Thanks for another great presentation of the City that we love.

I would like to see Danielle Harris come into Bayside Queens and purchasing a house here, yeah sure!!!! Let her think that this neighborhood isn't very expensive place to live in, that's how much she knows about real estate.

I think what happened was that they probably saw you with the camera and thats why they probably didnt let you in. They get scared and stuff. Lol If you go on any regular day to the main building they probably would let you in or tell them why youre filming or whatever. Tell them its just for fun and/or educational purposes.
