A walk in NYC through the neighborhood of Norwood, Bronx to the Bronx High School of Science at Bedford Park. I walk on Bainbridge Avenue, Gun Hill Road, and Jerome Avenue.
From Wikipedia:
"Norwood, also known as Bainbridge, is a working-class residential neighborhood in the northwest Bronx, New York City. It is bounded by Van Cortlandt Park and Woodlawn Cemetery to the north, the Bronx River to the east, and Mosholu Parkway to the southwest. The area is dominated topographically by what was once known as Valentine's Hill, the highest point being near the intersection of 210th Street and Bainbridge Avenue, where Gun Hill Road intersects, and around the Montefiore Medical Center, the largest landowner and employer of the neighborhood. Norwood's main commercial arteries are Gun Hill Road, Jerome Avenue, Webster Avenue, and Bainbridge Avenue.
The neighborhood is part of Bronx Community District 7 and is patrolled by the NYPD's 52nd Precinct. As of the 2000 United States Census, the seven census tracts that make up the neighborhood have a population of 40,748."

I disagree. My old New York street smarts told me that this guy was up to no good. Watch his eyes. He quickly assesses AK's equipment, then quickly looks up and down the street to determine the number of other people around. He realizes there are other people close by and immediately breaks off his contact with AK.

I went to The Bronx High School of Science from 1967 to 1970. It was a crazy time , and like our older Brothers and Sisters at Columbia U., we took over the school in September 1968 , during the teacher's strike, and ran classes ourselves with several friendly teachers for two weeks. It was a life changing experience!

32:05, that's not just any Bee-Line bus, this is their newest bus fleet to run on the streets of New York City and Westchester County, the 2018 New Flyer XDE60. These units are numbered #301-#378, and were built as replacements for the 2002 Neoplan USA AN460s. They are powered by a Cummins L9 EPA 2017 with a BAE Systems HDS300 Series-E Hybridrive.

For those of your viewers that are interested in history, they might be interested to know that one of the founders of the Soviet Union, Leon Trotsky, lived for a short time in the Bronx, at 1522 Vyse Ave, apartment building is still there. Also Dr. Edouard Bloch, the Hitler family doctor in austria , in the early 1900's lived in the Bronx at 2755 Creston ave. Hitler gave him special protection from the gestapo because of the way the doctor treated his mother. He allowed the doctor and his family to leave Germany in the late 1930's. Dr. Bloch is buried in a Jewish cemetery in Elmont, N.Y. (All from Wickepedia) (Sorry about the length of the comment)

This is my old block! I would take either the "D" or the "4" trains. I would come out right here, when I took the "D" from Columbus Circle in Manhattan. It let's you off right on the corner of 205th & Bainbridge, which is the last stop on the "D." I lived on Rochambeau Avenue on the other side of this block, heading towards East Mosholu Pkwy. I miss it SO much. Good memories.

Surprised you never mentioned DeWitt Clinton H.S. My old school. And one of the most famous, if not thee famous H.S. in all of NYC. Also, like to correct you. If you had made a right on Jerome Ave, to Paul Ave. after the Mosholu Pwky. train stop. Not only would that route been better lighted, safer, but also quicker in reaching your destination B.H.S.O.S. This part of NYC is severely ungentrified, obviously; as a result, it keeps the less unfortunate of society housed by keeping high rents at bay. It's sort of a concentration camp, if you will.

Those who actually lived in concentration camps would probably disagree with you. On another note, you live where you can afford to live. If you can't afford a desired residence, you either increase your income in some way (get another job, get a second job) or you just don't move there.

I'm so confused. How is giving housing to the poor a concentration camp?
