Good evening thank you so much for sharing your wonderful walk. You are definitely braver than I am to walk through the bullocks. What a lovely day you had . That would be a great project if your numbers ever come up. Shame about the sd card but we enjoyed the photos. A great way to end your adventures in the peak district. Hope you are having a great week. Best wishes Dave and Dawn ❤️

Hi to you both. Thank you, glad you enjoyed it. It's only over the past couple of years that I've become braver 😂 There was a time when I'd find a different route to avoid going through fields of cows! I always dream of doing up a derelict cottage! My dream home it would be, trouble is, I don't even do the lottery, haha! Thanks for your lovely comment! All the best, Jenny 😊

Lovely hike! Been a few times to the same area but never that way but definitely need to add it! Enjoyed watching and have a happy new year!

Hi, thanks for your comment! I think this was the first time we'd done that route - the map didn't quite match up in places, so we had to guess some of it! lol 😆 Happy New Year to you, too!

Super lovely walk Jenny - you got a sweat on but it was worth the fields of cows and views. I agree I wouldn't argue with that farm - it would make a good renovation project if you had the money. I mean today I saw some cottages down a 1 km lane that were incredible. Do people live like this? Yeah, they do but hey we can walk and dream. Well, a great holiday in the end. I enjoyed coming along with you. All the best. Mark

Hi Mark! Thank you! We certainly did get a sweat on! We certainly couldn't complain about the weather on this year's holiday! There was a time I would've walked around the outskirts of a field of cows... I'm getting braver in my mature years! I think every walk we went on there were farm buildings left to be claimed by nature, every one I'd say that's the one for me haha! Yep, walk and dream... that'll do! Thank you for following our holiday adventure... we certainly had a fantastic one! All the best to you too, take care, Jenny 😊

I'm working backwards on your Peak District holiday so I will see you again at the beginning of it in a while if that makes😂...I love Ilam and was sent there in the eighties from Kinder Scout(Southead Farm) where we were based with the National Trust...I spent a week learning how to hedgelay but never in 40 years have I ever had to make one...not really a lot of calls for it up here as it's all Drystone wall...It was an interesting yet pointless course...Nice vid...sorry about your SD card but I bet it's all right when I see the next one ...Confusing myself now😂...Cheers Les.🙂👍

Haha! Makes total sense... I love that you're ploughing through them 😃 If you get bored, there are even earlier ones from a previous holiday (quality will probably be rubbish now, I think that year was videoed on my phone!) No, can't say I'd seen any hedgelaying going on... we did see a couple of people rebuilding a wall up from Hartington. That's an art in itself! Norfolk is a great place for your hedgelaying skills 😃 I was so annoyed with the SD card problem! I lost some really nice footage of a derelict, crumbling stone building that was sheltering some very large scary sheep!! Well, hope you enjoy our adventures 😂 Take care, Jenny 😊

@@bumblejennybee88 Enjoying them Jenny...Drystone walling and path laying was my job...I still do an odd wall now and again for peoples gardens but over the years it has given me Spinal Arthritis but I wouldn't have changed a thing...in fact Rob from Over the Hills has given me a lot of grief over the slab paths I helped lay over Kinder Scout...Just mention Brown Knoll to him cos its his worst ever place in the Peak District🤣...I know the paths look unsightly but it really is the only way to prevent erosion on the moors apart from closing the moors which nobody wants...Cheers Les.🙂👍

@lespickering5080 In my teenage years, being on a family holiday, Dovedale was having a pathway laid where it climbs up through the trees... I helped carry a bag of cement up 😆 Everyone who was walking there at the time was asked to carry what they could! 🤣 one way of getting a job done quickly! Once they're weathered in, I'm sure they'll blend in well enough. 👍
@lespickering508013 күн бұрын
@@bumblejennybee88 Dovedale is beautiful but I tend to avoid it in summer for obvious reasons...So it was you that signed Jenny in the cement up that path...hooligan🤣
@bumblejennybee8813 күн бұрын
@lespickering5080 🤣 😆 There probably is an imprint of my stick!! We haven't done Dovedale for years now either because of the crowds. Robert and my dad once walked Dovedale in the dark years ago, and their torches packed up - they walked into a bunch of hippies dancing about. They couldn't decide if they were more scared of them or the dark 🤣 😂 We only walk, Beresford, Wolfscote, and Biggin Dale now - they're not too bad and are three of my favourites.

Hope you guys enjoyed yourselves up here, you must have picked the only week where Derbyshire hasn't been under cloud cover or hammered with rain. Well done walking straight through the field of bovine b@$t@rd$

We were not expecting the weather to be as good as it was!! We usually get rain on ALL our holidays!! But we did, as always, have a great time, thanks! I know!! I was well impressed with myself! They were very lively... years ago, I would've been crying, hahaha, like a proper wuss! Thanks for your continued support of my little channel 😀
