Actually it USED to be the heart of the gay community but so many LGBTQIA2S people have had to move away to other areas because of city projects that caused rental prices in the neighbourhood to blow up and become unaffordable so people had to move away from Davie and out of the core of Vancouver to the nearby cities like Burnaby and New Westminster and Surrey. It's going to get even more expensive with planned projects on Davie to build million dollar condos that are way above the income of people living in the West End. We need people to stand up to city hall and demand they stop making the city so unaffordable.

I read a while back that the city of Vancouver considers $3700 per month for housing affordable. Makes you wonder who lives in Vancouver?

This looks like a gay village! I'm looking for my next Pride destination. I was considering Montreal. However, a village showed a dead and decaying village. I have no desire to visit overpriced Toronto. I do love the West Coast, so Vancouver seems like a great place to choose.

You better start saving up. It's just as or more expensive in Vancouver.
