I was in Athens in 2011, such a blessing to see these places in person. Now that I'm reading and studying the Bible it always bring me back to where the history began. Also, thanking God always for sending me faithful teacher including Ligonier Ministries.🙏

would live to be there myself someday if I can scrounge up the money. Of all the places Paul wanted a church was Athens! Yes, some believers as a result but in his Acts 17 speech he failed to mention the name Jesus. Hence, 1 Corinthians 1 he said “we preach, Christ crucified”. It’s very likely Paul regretted that eloquent speech but ever since the Name wasn’t excluded. I found this to be true in my experience also. You can talk about anything and everything with anyone until you challenge them with “Jesus”
