One of my favourites parts of Dorset, thank you for this Dave & Logan. Many years ago I stayed at Powerstock station when it was a B & B, great fun for a railway enthusiast.

Hi Dave. Gosh i don't know where to begin, as that walk was absolutely magical. It was like being transported to a completely different era, which in some ways it is. The history you describe and your research really impresses me enormously. The history behind Eggardon was just fascinating. And the countryside is just glorious just as Mother Nature intended it to be. I will continue as usual to subscribe. Oh, and be careful running down those hills!!!. as oppose to 'Running up that Hill' as the song goes. Thank You.
@DaveFordАй бұрын
Thank you. Yes, I know all about hills after today ....... Fiver & I competed in the South Downs Trail 12.5K at Goodwood in West Sussex this morning .... and the course was VERY hilly!

Great film thanks. I was very lucky a few years ago to visit the old Powerstock Railway Station and was given a tour by Mr Read the owner. I also was given a signed copy of the book written By Diana P Read called 'All change' about how she and her husband bought and renovated the station in the 1960s. I believe they are still there. anyway, great and interesting film.

I do love the Dorset countryside, if only I could live there! Great video (as usual) and love the drone shots you've been putting in 👍

Thank you. The little drone comes in useful for "views" - although it does struggle a bit if there is any wind as it is so light!

That's a very pretty area, Dave. Not one I'm familiar with either! That's surprising considering there was, once, a railway around there. Two pubs on the route. Who's a lucky chap? Plus a selection of crisps for Logan.

Popped into the The Marquis of Lorne 30 + years ago on way between Devon where we lived on way to mother in laws in Sussex. Friend knew the landlord there and said I should pop in for a pint as I'd love it. Was a great pub then ! Lovely area Dave !

Oh that is interesting - I didn't spot that. I did ask the lovely lady behind the bar as to what the connection was between the Marquis & the area & she said that she wasn't sure.

Thanks Dave. A very understated church from first view but the inside provides a very rich array of features and artwork as you say. Interesting external feature on the side of the tower with what appears to be two windows. Is that part of a stairwell maybe? Lovely walk and great to watch on a beautiful day. So good to see. Keep safe and enjoy the Dorset Gold.
