Aaaah! Audlem canal... I know it well. I used to go there regularly when my grandparents had a dog in the early to mid-nineties. We used to go to Cox Bank, too.

Wonderful! I have always considered our canals as one of the hidden gems we have in this country. Nature seems to have embraced and transformed an artificial object into a beautiful aspect for us to enjoy.

That was really fascinating. Who was responsible for cranking those heavy gates open and closed on the canal all day long?

I’ll have to send my wife to Charles Atlas strength classes so that she can hop in and out of the boat and open and close those heavy locks. My job will be to drive the boat and mix the drinks.
