Thanks a great insight into how to set a Vive up! I'm pretty excited after getting to play with room scale VR earlier today. However, its hit or miss whether I have enough empty space available (compared to the requirement of 1.5 x 2 m). Is it possible to use an area that is above lower objects such as my bed and desk (assuming my hands will extend further than my feet)? If so, I should be able to get at least 2 x 2.5m... As I understand it, if I define the edges of my play space around 30 cm/ 1 ft past the edge of the obstacles (for example above my computer keyboard), the chaperone system should warn me when I get close, right, even if I won't have as much of a buffer? Would this create "hidden" areas where the controllers won't get tracked?

How do you rescale a room size , ? I made more room since 1st setting up But I can't seem to find where to rescale There is a tile in VIVEVR that says VIVE room scale setup , but every time I try to open it , it fails to launch Grrrr can anyone help ?

Ok. now, when i do room setup the bar does not fill up as smoothly as yours does. With the monitor, and the floor calibration. and then my controllers don't move when i do the "space" setup. can you explain?

Hey man, I doubt you will respond for this, but I just got my vive and the vr steam status says it tracks my controllers just fine, but when I am suppose to put everything in the middle on step 2-3. It doesn't detect them, any idea why?

All you have to do is start up the steam vr app and click on the down arrow under where it say steamvr and go to run room setup, but I'm sure you have it by now though
