I have stayed in this hotel twice. Once in a windowless room (before my flight to florida), and one in a corner suite where the walls were all windows (straight after my wedding as we were flying to honeymoon the next morning). Both times were fantastic stays and really enjoyed my stays. I would stay here again.

I stayed at this hotel after being awake for over 30 hours. I have a fond memory of how much dopamine I felt as I realised there was a hotel in the terminal I could just go pass out in. Amazing hotel too!

Thought I’d make my comment here as well, for those interested in this hotel. I’m currently staying one night at the Bloc Hotel at Gatwick Airport and I’ve been upgraded to a Vista Plus Room - Rm 846, exactly the same room as you stayed in! Really pleased with it and making the most of the cappuccinos on the 7th floor + just to let you know that the room now also has a Nespresso coffee machine with coffee, tea or hot chocolate options and some yummy biscuits!, 👍 Look forward to watching your next videos! Hi Tim. I love the idea of staying in a hotel in the airport especially if you have an early morning flight . Arrive at the airport the day before stay in one the night before and you are ready to go the next day. No more waking up at 2 or 3 in the morning for a mad dash to airport. I think all airports should have hotels in them.

We did it before our first big holiday to Florida with my partner. We wanted to extend our trip. Was so lovely getting food in the airport in the evening, getting a good night sleep then easily strolling to the gate in the morning.

My wife and I stayed here before flying in 2018 and couldn't fault it at all. The soundproofing is astonishing given how close it is to the runways.

I've stayed in this hotel before, and a similar full-service hotel in a New Zealand airport terminal. My favorite thing to do for those early morning flights: check-in, drop your bags then head back to your room to relax for another hour before security!

I stayed in the easy hotel in the Gatwick basement a while back and loved having access to all the restaurants and bars and then already being in the terminal for my flight. This looks like a step up and the sound proofing is amazing!

We stayed at bloc when we had an early flight from Gatwick. Really good bed and a really good sleep. We didnt take the optional upgrade of a window, that was £5 more! It's like staying in a spaceship.

Its a lovely hotel, I stayed in that room, 846 at the end of February. I requested it simply because of its views! Only difference is at 6:41 there is now a desk there with a Nespresso coffee machine.

We could of done with place like that wen we were in benidorm got told on last day we had set off home so we had be at airport at 9,30 in mornin and we were there for 16hrs. That was with hays travel i could do with them buttons for my blinds in bedroom nice to watch you x

Super that there is a window in the room (unlike the Aerotel at Heathrow which is VERY claustrophobic!). My only gripe is that for 2, one of you is climbing over the other to get to the toilet in the middle of the night. Anyway, it’s IN the terminal so that is 👍👍

Stayed there 6 years ago, before and after flights to /from the continent. Extremely convenient, plus the novelty of being in the middle of the flight action justified the cost for me. Checking back, I pre-paid 10.50 as an extra for a breakfast at one of two places in the terminal.

Me and my now wife- then girlfriend used to take a yearly holiday to Jamaica in January form gatwick and it was religion to stay in Bloc the night before our early flight. You can request the runway view from memory it was 114 or something. We used to eat in Giraffe and get back early with a bottle of wine to watch the emirates A380 come in from Dubai. Seems stupid now but great memories. this video brought back many fond memories. thanks Tim

This video had helped me in to getting a runway view when I stayed at the Bloc hotel back in September, appreciate you for the tour of the room and I really wanted to stay at the hotel and room with airport view to do my plane spotting. In fact I stayed in the room you stayed in, as you said very good runway view and was a very good room with double bed. Loved the mod lighting within the room and all the controls worked as it should be. As you said advantage is your right next to departures, good place to rest before flights. Bloc hotel at Gatwick also offer you discount for you to use restaurants such as Wetherspoons.

A complaint I've got is there's no charging points for phones!! If you're a tourist, you've got to have the uk adapter!! Apart from that its a great hotel.

Great video Tim. Another hi-tech hotel (well for me and my tech knowledge it is!!) For me the best thing about the room was the view, could of spent all evening looking out the window. The corridors looked narrow, maybe it was the dark decor? Looking forward to your next video 👍

I stayed in this hotel about 4 years ago. My mum and I shared a twin room without windows so not as nice as your room but it was fine as all we did was sleep in it. I agree the beds are really comfortable and the soundproofing is great. We also had a lovely dinner in the Wetherspoons close by

Stayed twice , once in a tiny room with no windows which was extremely convenient but we couldn’t move . The second time we paid too much for a huge room with wide views . Great room but very interesting black bathroom
