The hotel looked like a posh shopping mall and I can't stand malls so that would put me off but the swimming pool areas looked lovely. I like old buildings as it enriches the soul so not sure what Dubai would offer me apart from the weather. I was surprised at the hotel room as I would have thought attention to detail would be high here but the carpets, shower door, would be a big annoyance at that money. But when you think back about when these were built and who built them and the timescales they were given it's not surprising some things aren't perfect.
@anjou64979 ай бұрын
I agree about the shopping mall vibe, takes away the charm but makes oodles of money...the building itself looks beautiful from a distance, but the leaking interior is dangerous (risk of slipping) etc. Not acceptable. The glass sculpture chandelier shown in the hotel foyer is by America glass artist Dale Chihuly. ❤

@@cannavaras agreed, I loved my visit to see his art in Seattle. When I travel I look to see if there are pieces of his art that I can visit.

I didn't think much of your balcony either Tim, to Narrow at the sides. The musty smell in the corridors put me off a bit! And that dodgy shower door, such a horror being trapped in a shower in a Hotel Room! Liked the Gigantic Mini Egg Bath! Your room is plush. Shame it was Raining so much in Dubai for your stay! The under water suite with all the fishes was amazing!
