The building of these islands has a big impact on marine life. The sand is taken from ocean floor, wich gets destroyed in the process, losing countless coral reefs and marine flora. All for what? @definitely a proper username it all depends on your motive. As a journalist your motive is to inform others. You interview someone not to debate them, but get as much interesting positions from that person as possible. That just works better if you don't piss anyone off. @@Fragenzeichenplatte it's generally a good thing to not break bridges with people that have the potential to (inadvertently) provide you with additional information. As a journalist you aren't an activist or a debater at a talk show that is lined up against someone with an opposing view. Your job is to extract as much information from the people you interact with as possible. If you look at it from that perspective, that the goal is information extraction rather than convincing someone this totally makes sense.
