We always dipped the radishes in a bowl of salt. Really improves the flavor. As a kid I used the 'red' salt that we fed to the cattle.

Watch those mustard greens. Whatever you do, don't let them go to seed. You will never get rid of them. I planted some about six years ago. I have volunteers that come back every year since. Still eating them, but most get weeded out.

A question: What in the world are you going to do with all those greens? From here, it looks like enough to go commercial. On the radishes - Cherry Bell are one of the best varieties I have found. Tyler - try a little salt on a wet radish - might make you a believer. Thanks for the videos. Almost forgot - where was your dust mask? You know that White Oak dust does to your throat.

Can't remember when I ate a radish, had them lots as a young'in on the 60's, always grew in the garden. They were about the only thing spicy us kids would eat. (We thought they were spicy anyway). Just wondering how many times can you sharpen the blade before it goes to the scrap metal pile?

This is my tail yes its the truth. When I was a lad back in the day in England, we owned our own smallholding. What is a smallholding, I hear you say? It's a farm of between 10 and 2 acres of land. Often, they would have a cow or two or goats for milk. We had one cow & 10 goats 60 ducks & 50 chickens. an award-winning Long Leave Boar Called King David & 4 Long Race Sows, I also had 20 rabbits of my own I raised for sail at the local market. for food. Game & to bring me a bit of pocket money on my own. We started with 10 agers But when my father passed on the family Demanded a shear off. what we left was some land was sold off To satisfy the greed & we were left with 3 Aces & some woodland they did not want the irony is we never farmed the land preppily. we could have made more of it but we did not. The irony is we lived off the grid. & had we sold the land we could have got the power up to the place But we did not. In 1952 they wanted 3000, ponds to bring the electricity up to the place, the land then went bring the money. But it did a lot later. Haha, ha, ha. If you tack anything from this story: - Never put off making your will. & prevent the Voucher's Gathering. Dad did not & we lost a lot. To be hornists we were Subsistent, framers Growing sufficient to feed ourselves & as Dad had Madrid Twice the Vouchers gathered when they found out he hadn't made a will. prestation is 90 % of the law in the UK so they couldn't kick us out & sell it off They would have done so if they got the chance, Probate sorted it out. {Yes Mack a will} We lived well & the surplus we would sell to make money to pay taxes & stuff. We grow Parsnip & Swede bet & yes radish to anything & everything we could sell chees, Butter then Mad jam damson & apricot jam. I work the local farms & Earn an income that way. The local farmers would pop in often to the farm & ask Dad if I was free for a day or week or two ploughing OR planting we had a Welsh pony stallion & mar we used for transport two & from the Village Odd framers would seek me out. Young strong & polit. In time I left the land It got sold off It fetched 90.000 I went into the army. I heard the sowdlis fetch over a million pounds later on. When I came out of the Army I went into the waste rubbish Biasness hearing out skips. I retired from Work in 2008. whit arthritis & A Torn HI 'otter. My son does the skips & he holds my will LOL I have, Not done too badly For a chap who couldn't read or right. when I left school. LOL, I suffer from "Dyslexia" That's Another thing get yourself a clever working wife. there worth the what in gold & {Treat Her Right}. Jan & les England 💖💖💖💖 PS, love your channel I often visit Gridlessness. Canada they hunt more than I did but that's how we lived Butt none of the technical stuff A Wood gas generator, was what we used. my Dads from the war. & a win's powered Mill for charging batteries . that rusted away at the end HA HA HA.
