Brian Barrett it’s pretty stupid to point that out. Starlink (by SpaceX) will put nearly 12k satellites into orbit. And space junk eventually deorbits. Plus, commercial space launches have really exploded during trumps presidency, so he is the first president to really have to deal with this.

@@brianbarrett192 Do you realize that satellites are placed way farther away from low earth orbit right?
@funveeable3 жыл бұрын
Satellites don't just hover in one place above the surface, they have to constantly move around the earth to stay up. 700 years most of those satellites would have crashed. They orbit generally at different altitudes so if that cloud of machines did exist, it would be crashing into each other and falling to earth.

This scene is so scientifically incorrect. I mean, are those satellites just floating around without falling on Earth? Hamanity is leaving countless debris above the atmosphere, but it's in orbit, which means it revolves around the planet in orbital speed, which means that the spaceship should have been teared to pieces because of the super fast debris hitting it all over the place
@captainshipman73772 жыл бұрын
Yes this bothered me. For one, this rocket looks like it’s going straight up instead of in an orbital trajectory. And then that trash should have been moving at thousands of miles per hours relative to the spaceship. I think it just shows most people don’t have a general understanding of orbital mechanics
@olgaflores5222 жыл бұрын
they could be in geostationary orbit which is the most valuable orbit.
@orkutster2 жыл бұрын
what you don't understand is that the rocket has an inertial dampner that slows down objects approaching it so that they are stationary wrt to the rocket when they reach it. you nitpicking on this scene is like some techie dude from the 1910s pointing out the "unscientific" portrayal of a quantum computer.
@osasunaitor Жыл бұрын
@@olgaflores522 geostationary orbit doesn't meant they are static. It just means they orbit at the same angular speed at which Earth rotates, so that they always remain over the same point on Earth. But they are rotating, and VERY fast.
