Walleye Cheaters Sentenced. It’s Jail Time!!!

What does everyone think about the sentencing?

They stole hundreds of thousands of dollars. Literally. And all they got was 10 days in jail and $2,500 fine. They made out great!

I wish they would have gotten higher fines. They gave me higher fines for bow hunting during "extreme fire danger" in the pouring rain.

I believe these guys are just the tip of the ice berg in terms of cheating and I believe there are many more guys out there doing the same thing and these guys were just the ones that got exposed first. As far as their punishment it's totally not drastic enough they need to be made an example of so that future cheaters will think twice before cheating .

There’s absolutely more guys out there doing it. The funniest part about them cheating is they didn’t even need to cheat to win that tournament. The fish they caught before the weights would’ve gave them first place. I was definitely hoping they were going to get significant jail time. Maybe the next time they get caught doing something stupid they get more.

Sounds like they got hit with a misdemeanor. But the social impact on them will far out weight the criminal punishment
