I have a Lectric 1.0 with a 10.5 ah battery. I made the following improvements: Wired in a 20 ah battery, installed an air suspension fork, replaced the telescoping stem and handlebars with a treadless BMX handlebar set up, installed 180 mm rotors and line-pull hydraulic brakes, and a Suntour NCX suspension seat post, and installed an 11-34 tooth freewheel. It rides great with these improvements. However, the braking is poor. I like this Walkee H6 bike. I like the extra battery set up, the beefier hydraulic brakes, and the dual suspension. I don't think the seat post suspension is necessary, and I don't like the thumb throttle on the left side. My Lectric has walk mode, which I use sometimes to walk up steep hills or stairs. I never use cruise control. I would seriously consider this Walkee ebike if I was going to buy one.

Good comments! I think they'll help deepen people's understanding in several areas. I was initially skeptical about the left-hand throttle, too. In practice, though, having to juggle both shifting and throttle with the right hand is not good. I got used to the left position in minutes. I usually ride with index and middle fingers over the brake levers, and third and little fingers gripping the handlebars. This gives me instant front and rear braking while maintaining enough steering control to be safe, especially in rocky or uneven terrain. (I have a few nasty scars from before I smartened up and adopted this... 😕)

I wish I could use my h6 dual battery e bike. I bought it off amazon, and a few months there were broken welds on the frame. I contacted support and they sent me another frame to me here in Arizona in a box that by the time I got it a month later was so beaten and broken that AFTER I paid a bike company $200 to replace the entire frame, we found out the one that was sent was bent at the hinge on the body of the frame so it would not close properly and it wasn't possible to lock the frame closed. I desperately tried for months to get wallke to help me, and provided the written statement from the bike company invoice saying the hinge on the frame was bent causing the bike to not be able to be locked in the closed position, and the bike was unsafe to use. Wallke refused to believe me or the bike shop, and refused to do anything other than send a new locking mechanism, which would not fix the fact that the hinge on the frame, not the locking mechanism is bent. I regret spending $2500 on a bike I got to use less than a dozen times. I would seriously avoid this company.

The duel battery makes the bike to cumbersome, what's needed are batteries with higher capacities/energy density, so you can have a more range. Hopefully solid state or some other new battery technology will be available soon for e-bikes.

I put over 9000 miles on my Ecotric fat tire bike, my third battery is dying so I am looking to upgrade instead of buying another battery. I made so many videos on my Ecotric, they should pay me to be their ambassador LOL I am trying to determine if I should stay with Ecotric, or change. I really like the longer mileage on this bike and the faster speeds. I did ride over 40 mph on my Ecotric, but that was down some serious hills. Usually my top speed is around 28-30. This model seems like it may be faster, and with 2 batteries I am sure the range is more. Decisions, decisions 😀

I ordered the H6 Max. I'm looking forward to riding this bike. I already have a few things ready for it when it arrives. 1 - Turn signals. These are a must have accessory because I live and commute to and from work in a semi rural town 20 miles west of Erie, PA year round. Helps other drivers know your intent when riding in the dark. 2 - BMX handlebars and stem. I won't be folding my bike except to remove, or install the optional 2nd battery. 3 - Tires I rarely go off road, so I ordered a set of street tires and will keep the original tires for winter and swap out as needed for the seasons. I still can't decide on swapping the front crank set for at least a 52 tooth. that's all for now. Happy riding everyone!

Thanks for sharing. I think your choices are very-well thought out. The 52T chainring is a very good idea. We've done the same. I would suggest a left-hand mirror and a flashing rear light (if your turn signals don't provide the function). I think you're going to like it a lot. 😊

@@ebike_reviews I already have those items. Sorry I didn't mention them in my last post. I just swapped them over from my old e bike to my new one. Now, my next modification will be the rear shocks. When we were staying at place where we wanted to keep the bike on the deck, I used the walk mode to have it power itself up 14 stairs. It was doable, although if I lost it on the stairs it wouldn't be good. The brakes were enough to walk it back down. The frame handle is a big help as well. I don't think I'd fold it, as it would get really unwieldy.

H6/H9: lower standover height; upright riding for less strain on arm and palms; longer range; more torque from smaller wheels; higher payload; more compact when folded. X3: lower weight; better suited to pedaling at higher speeds; smoother ride on uneven surfaces, more traditional look (wife thinks it's "more manly") 🫤 I rode both, but now prefer the H9/H6.

The Wallke H9 AWD is the new big brother to the H6, adding front drive, and I can tell you it's head-and-shoulders above the RWD bikes on sand and soft surfaces. The tires are intended for sand and snow, and I've seen other reviews where people are riding in snow. Also the H9 has what can be described as a motorcycle headlight at 1000 lumens if you're out past dusk. I'd worry about the batteries in freezing temperatures where lithium-ion batteries don't do as well. (I don't have any specific experience, but I'm a tech guy, and this is my field.). In cold weather, certainly, I'd bring the batteries in for charging and storage, and then back out for riding. The larger battery under the seat drops in easily, and would make this a trivial operation.

Thanks for the detail and clarity of your review. I'm assuming the bike has cadence sensing to turn the motor on and off, but the way you describe it, it sounds more natural like torque sensing. Can you elaborate on this aspect of the bike? Thanks...
@ebike_reviews
@ebike_reviews 11 ай бұрын
The sensor on my 2021 X3 Pro knows when you're pedaling and engages to motor to the limit of the mode number you've selected. This can have the effect of making the ride a series of surges, powering up and then coasting back down. This isn't unpleasant, but I use the cruise function to keep the speed even. On the H6 and new X3, the pedaling compares the pedal rate to the current speed and adds power to increase it until the pedal rate drops. It's a lot more sophisticated than the usual controllers, making riding more natural and pleasurable. You get a much more consistent ride speed. This is especially important considering the the power and torque of this bike.

Hello, Whats the max range on throttle only?
@ebike_reviews
@ebike_reviews 3 ай бұрын
I tested the H6 Max (dual batteries) with 35Ahr total. Power-only riding range depends on: terrain; surface; speed; tire pressure; suspension settings; and other factors, so no definitive range can be known. However, I typically ride 7 or 12 miles a day, and charge the bike about twice per week. I mostly pedal for cardio when I ride (I'd estimate 60/40 motor to pedal) but some days feel a little more lazy and let the bike do most of the work. Charge level has only gone below 50% when I was on a 25-mile ride in demanding mountain terrain.

Go with the H6 or H9, they have a lower stand-over height, and you can dismount by lifting your leg over the main tube instead of swinging over the back of the bike. Also the upright riding position will take a lot of strain off your arms and palms. (My parameters are close to yours, and both these bikes will fit you perfectly.) The much-larger batteries also give a ton of power and range, so you can ride anywhere with younger and fitter companions, and the bike can get you there and home effortlessly. You can dial-your-own cardio, contributing as much pedal effort as suits you. BTW, you and I are representative of the majority of Wallke's riders... 😊 I hope you enjoy riding your new eBike as much as I have!

Good point! The bike is rated as 80 nm. This means more with the 20" wheels, as they gets more power to the ground. This bike was easily getting my 200lb+ weight, plus about 10lb in my carry bag up 30+ degree rocky grades in mountain riding. In areas where it was too dicey to ride, the walk mode carried the bike up while I guided it on foot. The extra battery sustained day-long rides in mountain terrain, where my the 14AH battery in my usual eBike would have certainly left me stranded or heading home early.

At the end, the display had filled with water and the bike was inoperative. The scripting and voiceover are my own, describing the features of the bikes, my experiences with them, and my opinions and criticisms. I try to encapsulate what I tell my friends about the bikes, and also what I'd like to know if I was choosing a bike. I leave it to other reviewers to shoot action video of riding or walking around the stationary bike, and many of those reviews are very good and provide additional context. Smaller tires don't magically create more torque in the motor, but they certainly do get more of it to the ground. The difference in angular force means the bike can move more weight up a given grade, or will move the same weight up a steeper grade. There's a reason torque is measured in ft lb -- it's to quantify the turning force available at a particular distance from the shaft center. In practice the H6 practically leaps up grades that bog down my bike with 24" wheels. 😊

LOL - I wish! Wallke treated me very well when I bought my first one on Amazon three years ago. It was showing an intermittent error code during riding, and I was dreading what it would take to get it addressed. I finally got on it, and at 8PM on a Thursday night, fired off an email describing the problem. Ten minutes later, Wallke replied and asked if they could phone me. A few minutes later, I was on a facetime call with a tech so he could see the bike. A week later, a courier package arrived with a replacement wiring harness, and I was able to replace it easily. I then put around 1100 trouble-free miles on that bike before replacing it with the 2023 version last year. I'd been doing KZbin videos on other topics, and decided to share my ebike experiences with others. My wife and I have purchased four Wallke eBikes (two X3s, A7, H6) and Wallke has lent me two bikes to review (ST and A9). They offered me a commission if I sold any bikes for them, but I turned that down. At the time of that first purchase, I researched all the bikes I could find, and Wallke seemed to check all the boxes. The online reviews at the time were pretty positive, so I and a buddy both got them. We had a LOT of fun, and my wife decided to join in and got her own. Since, then we've ridden daily, and it's the best part of our day. We've taken the bikes on vacation in the mountains, and riding the horse trails is a real experience. There are about a dozen Wallke eBikes amongst our family and friends. So -- I'm not paid by Wallke, but I AM an enthusiast! 😀

Oh - it got tested on hills alright. We spent a week in mountain and forest terrain. The bike has been on horse trails, some forest roads that need dedicated off-road vehicles to navigate, a flooding creek, and on steep rocky trails where a crash required the first-aid kit for my riding partner. I guarantee there are hard-core riders that ride more challenging trails, but this bike was agile powerful enough to overcome everything we dared to ride. When we're back up there, the H6 is definitely the bike I'll be riding.

Sigh -- No, I bought the X3 Pro on Amazon with my own money. I liked the bike so much I did the original review for my other channel. I sent Wallke feedback and suggestions, which they mostly integrated into the subsequent models, and they sent the resulting bike hoping I'd review it, too. I liked the bike so much, I ponied up to buy it. (My wife is starting to troll me about my eBike "collection"...😐)

You're talking like a controller upgrade? A person has to wonder about getting more speed. I'm looking at doing a 60t chainring to let me pedal more on setting 3. That's around 24 mph. I doubt I'll get anything on there that lets me effectively pedal at 30 mph. It's crazy how many niche bikes there are now. But I find this really solid for a throttle oriented bike.

@@shawnmuench The more I research it, the more the idea gets tweaked. I ended up purchasing an H6 Max for 1700 with a coupon. Thinking of a three battery 72V parallel system that utilizes the Datex3 battery blender, and a phaserunner controller tuned to 1400w when using low volt batteries, and up to 2000 or so with an all 72v setup. The problem with lower V batteries is that they generate more amps with running higher wattage. The datex blender gets expensive the higher amperage needed, so trying to keep it under 30 amps.

These e-bikes pushing the envelope will ruin it for all e-bikes. The law is 20 mph for class 1 and 2 and 28 mph for a class 3 which is peddle assist no throttle.

I rode a lectric before buying this and it's a lot better. Although-- I'll say the H6 has weird handlebars and I'll probably get lower ones. 12" I guess. I wouldn't pay MSRP for the H6, but I paid the 1500 for the sale and it's been good. Just got new pedals cause the stock ones are very slippery.

You would adjust your top speed in the settings to adjust the power in each PAS level.. As opposed to being able to adjust power% of each PAS level.. It works in a pinch. I do that too speed adjustment on my Ariel Rider Kepler to reduce the PAS level speeds in all 9 when going out on group rides.. Then increase top speed setting to get higher speeds in all 9 levels when I am alone zipping around.. It's a fix that you can play around with.
