I’m 67 and these cars are the era I grew up in. I had no idea there were this many people still competing with these cars. Awesome to see this happening. Unfortunately my local Drag Strip was sold to a logistics company and has been demolished.

The Nostalgia Pro Stockers of the mid-late 70's thru the early 2k were when Pro stock was truly Pro Stock. Let's not leave out those awesome Gassers with the amazing variety of cars from the day! That was put on by Holley and the NHRA Motor Sports Museum. Probably the BEST Drag Racing event I've ever been to out at Beech Bend Raceway Walt. So glad you enjoyed the vid!!!!!!

Tim, I hope you were wearing ear plugs! My favorite class would probably be the gassers. I love the Willys, Henry Js and tri- fives. The true 60's front engine dragsters and funny cars are awesome too! It was great seeing the Bob Gliddon Fairmont and Reher and Morrison Camaro too. I used to go to this event annually. I need to go back again. And what about that milk truck!

09/25/23' WOW ! shocked to see Ron Hope & Rat Trap still active. I still have an 8 x 10 photo of this car that i shot. Drove from Oregon to the 1996 Bakersfield March Meet, my older brother was good friends with Mr. Hope, a real great guy.

I should add this about the crowd.... They had the show on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. (This video was on Friday) Saturday was packed with people!! Usually this show is Friday Saturday and Sunday but they moved it back a day since Fathers Day was Sunday. Also, I know a few people who could not go since it was Fathers Day weekend.
